RITES QA/QC Expert & Section Engineer Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has invited applications for the engagement of 2 Individual Consultants for their Metro and Rail infrastructure projects in Ahmedabad. RITES is one of India's leading engineering consultancy firms handling transport infrastructure, quality assurance, and rolling stock operations across the country and internationally. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam. Experienced engineers in the civil, electrical, or mechanical disciplines should apply.

Both posts are based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Engagement is on CV-based contract as Individual Consultant.

Who Can Apply?

For Dy. Chief QA & QC Expert (VC No. YP/14/26):

• Qualification: You need a Graduate degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Experience: Minimum 24 years of post-qualification experience in Metro, Rail, or major infrastructure projects.
• You must also have at least 5 years of specific experience in Metro, Railway, Station Construction, prestressed bridges, or flyover work in Railways.

For Section Engineer - Rolling Stock Testing & Commissioning (VC No. YP/15/26):

• Qualification (Degree route): Graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university, with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Qualification (Diploma route): Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with minimum 14 years of post-qualification experience.
• You must also have at least 4 years of relevant experience in Metro, Railways, or Airports.

Note: Training period (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, and PhD research experience will not count as work experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 63 years as on 05 April 2026 (last date of application).
• Extension beyond the age of 65 years will not be given under any circumstances.

Salary

• Dy. Chief QA & QC Expert: Rs. 2,00,000 per month (fixed payment for services).
• Section Engineer - Rolling Stock: Rs. 1,20,000 per month (fixed payment for services).
• Payment is released within one week after month completion based on attendance.
• No PF, ESI, Gratuity, or other statutory benefits are provided. Income tax will be deducted at source.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Document Scrutiny / Verification: All candidates who successfully submit their online application will be called for document verification. Your educational qualifications, experience, and other claims will be checked against originals. Candidates can appear in person at RITES Corporate Office, Gurugram, or through Video Conferencing.
2. Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates from document scrutiny will be called for interview. You will be evaluated on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The mode of selection is interview only. The engagement is for deployment at a client site, and actual appointment is subject to client approval of your CV.

• Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for Metro and Railway infrastructure projects

• Prepare quality audit reports, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with client teams, contractors, and RITES management on project progress
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and material test certificates
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements at all stages of the project
