RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has released notification for 5 Individual Consultant posts across three specialized domains. All positions are based at Gandhidham/Kandla, Gujarat and the engagement is for 12 months on a contract basis. These are CV-based assignments where experienced professionals in maritime and port infrastructure can contribute to RITES' port and waterway projects.

• Manager - Dredge Master, MOT Grade I/II (VC No. YP/04/26): 2 posts

Who Can Apply?

For Hydrographic Surveyor (Rs. 1,60,000/month):

• Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, OR Associate Member of Institution of Surveyors (India) Sub Division 1B in Hydrography, OR Master's Degree in Mathematics or Physics
• Experience: 5 years as a hydrographic surveyor in supervision of dredging/dredge survey activities
• You must have hands-on experience with Hydrographic Survey software like PDS2000 or Hypack
• You should have executed at least 2 projects as a Hydrographic Surveyor in Capital or Maintenance dredging works
• Knowledge of latest survey equipment on board is required

For Dredge Master (Rs. 1,80,000/month):

• Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, OR Certificate of Competency of Masters issued by National Maritime Authorities
• Experience: 5 years as Dredge Master or Expert in supervision and monitoring of dredging activities on board dredger
• You should be proficient in Daily Dredge Quantity report (DDR), Draught and Load Monitoring (DLM), Track Plots, and Quality Assurance
• Basic understanding of Hydrographic Survey charts is needed
• You must have executed at least 2 projects as Dredge Master in Capital or Maintenance dredging works
• Knowledge of Hydrographic Survey software PDS2000/Hypack is required

For Financial Expert (Rs. 1,25,000/month):

• Qualification: CA / ICWA / CFA / MBA (Finance)
• Experience: 3 years in construction projects, preferably dredging projects
• You should have expertise in scrutiny of tender, invoice, running account bills, GST and other commercial aspects

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 62 years (as on 25 March 2026)
• No extension of engagement beyond 65 years

Salary

• Hydrographic Surveyor: Rs. 1,60,000 per month (fixed)
• Dredge Master (MOT Grade I/II): Rs. 1,80,000 per month (fixed)
• Financial Expert: Rs. 1,25,000 per month (fixed)
• Note: This is a consolidated payment. You will not get PF, ESI, Gratuity or any other statutory benefits.
• Leave entitlement: 1.5 days per completed month on pro-rata basis
• No TA/DA for joining, assignment completion, or attending the interview

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Document Scrutiny/Verification: All candidates who submit their online application will be provisionally allowed for document verification. Your eligibility with respect to the post applied will be checked. This can be done in-person at RITES Corporate Office, Gurugram OR through Video Conferencing online.
2. Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates after document scrutiny will be called for interview. You will be evaluated on Technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication and interpersonal skills.

Note: RITES reserves the right to shortlist candidates. The CVs of suitable candidates will be shared with the Client, and the engagement letter will be issued only after the Client approves your CV.
