  • Engineering graduates and diploma holders are NOT eligible — this scheme is for ITI-certified candidates only
  • Candidates already undergoing or having completed apprenticeship training anywhere else are NOT eligible

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this recruitment. RWF will prepare a trade-wise merit list based on your percentage of marks in Class 10 — all subjects are counted, not just one group. If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate gets preference; if dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Class 10 earlier ranks higher. After the merit list is published (approximately 45 days after the closing date), shortlisted candidates go through document verification followed by a medical fitness examination at a government hospital before engagement begins.

Documents You'll Need

Keep these documents ready before you fill the application form:

  • Class 10 marks certificate (minimum 50% aggregate — also serves as date of birth proof)
  • Original National Trade Certificate (NTC) in your trade — must be NCVT-issued, not SCVT
  • Employment Exchange Registration Card (Karnataka exchange for local candidates; respective state exchange for others)
  • Caste/Community certificate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-B for SC/ST; Annexure-C with Non-Creamy Layer for OBC, issued on or after 01.07.2025)
  • Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of "Principal Financial Adviser/Rail Wheel Factory" (General/OBC candidates only; IPO/DD must not be dated before 28.02.2026)
