Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Agricultural Research Station, Adilabad has released a walk-in interview notice for 1 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) post. The position is part of the ICAR-AICRP Bt. Cotton paid-up trials project for the year 2026-27. No written exam — selection is purely through walk-in interview on 30 May 2026. Candidates from Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Biotechnology and Plant Pathology backgrounds are preferred.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an M.Sc or Ph.D in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognised university.
• Preferred Specialisation: Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Biotechnology, or Plant Pathology will be given preference.
• Project Area: The work is related to Bt. Cotton field trials and lab analysis.

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 37,000 per month.
• Plus 9% HRA as per ICAR rules.
• This is a temporary engagement linked to the duration of the project.

Duration of Project

• The engagement is up to 31st March 2027 or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
• The position can be extended only if the project is extended.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a walk-in interview only — there is no written test.

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 30 May 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Office of the Principal Scientist & Head, Agricultural Research Station, Adilabad - 504 002.
2. Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified at the venue.

• Assist scientists in writing technical reports and research papers
• Maintain trial registers and prepare monthly progress reports
• Handle laboratory equipment and follow biosafety guidelines for Bt. crops
• Guide field assistants and labour during trial execution
