Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) has invited applications for 3 Teaching Associate posts to teach B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture I Year students during the II Semester 2025-26. The engagement is on a purely temporary basis across three departments — Agronomy, Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, and Genetics & Plant Breeding. Selection is through a walk-in interview followed by a demo class — no written exam. Postgraduates in Agriculture can directly attend the interview with documents.

• Agronomy (AGRO-102 – Farming Based Livelihood Systems): 1 post — M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Agronomy
• Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry (SKEC-104 – Soil, Plant and Water Testing): 1 post — M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Soil Science
• Genetics and Plant Breeding (SKEC-102 – Seed Production and Testing Technology): 1 post — M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding / Seed Technology

Who Can Apply?

For Agronomy Post:

• You must have an M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Agronomy.

For Soil Science Post:

• You must have an M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Soil Science.

For Genetics and Plant Breeding Post:

• You must have an M.Sc (Ag) or Ph.D in Genetics and Plant Breeding or Seed Technology.

Other Requirements (All Posts):

• Demo class on a topic relevant to the course is mandatory at the interview
• Teaching experience is essential
• Computer knowledge and ability to handle online classes are essential

Salary

• Ph.D holders: Maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 54,000 per month
• M.Sc (Ag) holders: Maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 49,000 per month
• No other allowances — this is a consolidated monthly pay

Application Fee

• No application fee. Eligible candidates can directly attend the walk-in interview.
• No TA & DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a walk-in interview process:

1. Document Verification: Bring one set of photocopies of all original certificates, publications, bio-data and relevant documents
2. Demo Class: Deliver a demo class on a topic relevant to the offered course
3. Personal Interview: Face-to-face interview with the selection committee

The decision of the selection committee is final and binding.

• Guide students in academic queries and laboratory work
