Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Well Services, Ahmedabad Asset has released Advertisement No. AMD/CONSLT-2026 for consultant engagement on contract basis. The selected consultants will work as competent persons in shift or general shift on charter hired and O&M operated Workover Rigs of Ahmedabad Asset. The engagement is for 2 years from joining or until the consultant reaches 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

This recruitment is not for fresh candidates or general PSU job seekers. Vacancy Details

Who Can Apply?

Junior Consultant

• Retired Level: You must be a retired ONGC executive from E1 to E3 level.
• Discipline: Production, Drilling, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of in-line experience in Workover/Drilling field operations.

Associate Consultant

• Retired Level: You must be a retired ONGC executive from E4 to E5 level.
• E6+ Applicants: E6+ candidates may be considered only under the conditions mentioned above.
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of in-line experience in Workover/Drilling field operations.

Age Limit

• You should be less than 64 years old as on the date of advertisement.
• Age Reference Date: 04 June 2026.
• The contract will run for 2 years from joining or until attaining 65 years, whichever comes earlier.

Salary

• Junior Consultant - 1st year: Total compensation of Rs. 40,000 per month plus communication reimbursement up to Rs. 2,000 per month as per bill.
• Junior Consultant - 2nd year: Total compensation of Rs. 41,350 per month plus communication reimbursement up to Rs. 2,000 per month.
• Associate Consultant - 1st year: Total compensation of Rs. 66,000 per month plus communication reimbursement up to Rs. 2,000 per month.
• Associate Consultant - 2nd year: Total compensation of Rs. 68,000 per month plus communication reimbursement up to Rs. 2,000 per month.
• The total compensation includes monthly honorarium, conveyance reimbursement, and office-at-residence reimbursement.

ONGC will pay 80% of the monthly honorarium along with conveyance and office-at-residence reimbursement every month. The remaining 20% of the monthly honorarium is payable after performance assessment at the end of the engagement period, completion of tenure, or attaining 65 years, as applicable.

Selection Process

ONGC will select candidates using a 100-mark process that includes experience, qualification, written test, and interview.

1. Experience Marks: Up to 20 marks for years of experience.
2. Academic Qualification: Up to 10 marks.
3. Written Test: 50 marks; candidates must score at least 15 marks to qualify.
4. Interaction / Interview: 20 marks; candidates must score at least 10 marks to qualify.
5. Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to fitness by ONGC Medical Authority as per Mines Rules, 1955.

The written test and personal interaction will be held at ONGC, Ahmedabad, and shortlisted candidates will receive the date and other details by email. No TA, DA, or accommodation will be paid for attending the written test, interview, or interaction.
