Who Can Apply?

For PGT Posts:

• Qualification: Post Graduate in the concerned subject with 50% marks in aggregate and B.Ed. from a recognized university with NCTE affiliation.

For TGT Posts:

• Qualification: Graduate in the concerned subject with 50% marks in aggregate and B.Ed. from a recognized university with NCTE affiliation.

Note: In Hard/Very Hard stations, if candidates with B.Ed. are not available, PG candidates with 60% marks in Science / 55% in Humanities (for PGT), or B.Sc. with 60% / BA with 55% (for TGT) may be considered without B.Ed. CTET qualification may also be relaxed if no CTET-qualified candidates are available.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 65 years old.
• Both fresh candidates and retired teachers (retired Principals of KV/JNV, retired DEOs, retired lecturers) can apply.
• Relaxation: In exceptional cases, the selection committee may relax the upper age limit by one more year.

Salary

• PGT (Normal Station): Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• PGT (Hard/Very Hard Station): Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• TGT (Normal Station): Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)
• TGT (Hard/Very Hard Station): Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)

Payment is made from School Fund against regular vacancies. No TA/DA for attending the interview. Travelling allowance and daily allowance at corresponding rank rates are provided when on official duty.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is entirely based on merit. There is no written exam for this recruitment.

1. Academic Merit Assessment: Marks computed by taking 10% of your percentage in HSC (without extra optional), Bachelor's degree, and B.Ed. for TGTs and PGTs. For Principals and PGTs, Master's degree, M.Phil, and Ph.D. levels are also considered. 5 extra marks each for M.Phil and Ph.D.
2. Appearance Before Selection Board: The selection board under the chairmanship of the District Collector will assess your suitability. Board members include the Nodal Principal, DEO representative, NVS/KVS Principal, and a subject expert.
3. Document Verification: You must appear on 17 April 2026 at 09:00 AM at OAV Subarnapali, Pallahara, Angul with all original documents.
