ICMR-RMRCBB is hiring 2 Young Professionals — one for Bioinformatics (Scientific) and one for Administration — at its centre in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. If you have a Graduate degree in Life Sciences or a Post Graduate degree with at least 55% marks and 1 year of post-qualification experience, you can attend the walk-in interview. No written test — selection is based on interview performance. Salary is Rs. 30,000 per month (YP-I Bioinformatics) or Rs. 42,000 per month (YP-II Admin).

ICMR-RMRCBB Young Professional Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar (ICMR-RMRCBB), under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has advertised for 2 Young Professional posts on a purely temporary contract basis. The engagement is for administrative work and scientific work at ICMR-RMRC, Bhubaneswar. The initial contract is for 1 year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years (1+1+1). Persons already in regular government service are not eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Young Professional-II (Admin):

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university or college
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in purchase, stores, GeM Procurement, or Establishment work
• Preferred Skills: Knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tally etc.) will be an added advantage

For Young Professional-I (Scientific-Bioinformatics):

• Qualification: Graduate degree in Life Science — Biology, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, or related fields — with at least 55% marks
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in Bioinformatics

Note: Experience must be gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification. Persons already in regular time-scale service under any Government Department or Organisation are NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Young Professional-II (Admin): Maximum age 40 years as on 10 March 2026
• Young Professional-I (Bioinformatics): Maximum age 35 years as on 10 March 2026
• Age Relaxation: As per ICMR guidelines for reserved categories

Salary

• Young Professional-II (Admin): Rs. 42,000 per month (consolidated)
• Young Professional-I (Bioinformatics): Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• Note: These are consolidated emoluments. Benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, HRA, LTC, and Medical claims applicable to regular ICMR staff are NOT admissible for these contract positions.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a walk-in interview. There is no written exam.

1. Document Verification: Your original educational certificates, experience certificates, and photograph are verified at the venue before the interview
2. Written Test / Assignment (if required): A written test or assignment may also be conducted before the interview, if necessary, at the discretion of the selection committee
3. Interview: Final selection is based on performance in the interview. In case of a tie, all candidates with the same marks are considered for the next round

• YP-II (Admin): 14 May 2026 (Thursday) at 10:00 AM onwards

• Prepare reports, summaries, and documentation as directed by the competent authority
• Follow all ICMR rules and guidelines applicable to contract positions
