ACTREC (Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer) is hiring 1 Programmer on a project basis at its Centre for Cancer Epidemiology in Navi Mumbai. If you have a B.E. (Computer Science/IT), M.Sc. (IT), or MCA degree, you can walk in directly for the interview. The walk-in date is 5 May 2026 at 10:00 am. Salary is Rs. 34,000 per month. ACTREC Programmer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), part of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) and a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has announced a walk-in interview for a Programmer post at its Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The appointment is on a project basis for 6 months, or till the continuation of the project — whichever is earlier. Candidates with experience in software design, Java, .NET, and SQL server are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in Cancer Registry Operation or Cancer Hospital/Clinical Research will be an added advantage.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• B.E. (Computer Science / IT), or
• M.Sc. (IT), or
• MCA, or
• Equivalent qualification from a Recognised University

Job Profile Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in Software Designing / Programming
• Knowledge of dot net and Java
• Knowledge of SQL Server database
• Experience in Cancer Registry Operation / Cancer Hospital / Clinical Research is preferred but not mandatory

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Less than 35 years as on 05th May 2026 (walk-in interview date)

Salary

• Pay Range: Rs. 34,000 per month
• This is a project-based contract post — duration is 6 months or till the continuation of the project, whichever is earlier

Selection Process

Selection is through a Walk-in Interview — no written exam.

2. Document Verification: Bring original certificates (qualification, experience, birth certificate, photo, PAN card) along with a set of photocopies

• Design and develop software applications for cancer registry and clinical research systems
• Write and maintain code in Java and dot net frameworks as per project requirements

• Work with the Cancer Epidemiology team to build and maintain data management tools
• Debug issues, fix software defects, and improve application performance
• Prepare technical documentation for developed software and modules
• Support data entry and reporting requirements for Cancer Registry operations
