AYUSH Khammam Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Department of AYUSH, Government of Telangana, working through the District Collector and Magistrate, Khammam, is filling AYUSH Medical Officer and allied health posts under the Public Health Programme of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in Khammam district. The posts come from G.O.Rt.No.1508 dated 21.08.2026, through which the state cleared AYUSH service positions in every district of Telangana.

All posts are filled on an outsourcing basis — you will be engaged through an approved outsourcing agency and work under the administrative control of the Director of AYUSH, Secunderabad. A District Selection Committee chaired by the District Collector, with the Regional Deputy Director of AYUSH, Warangal as convener, runs the selection. If you hold an Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy or Naturopathy degree, a nutrition degree or an MSW, this is a local programme opening worth a look.

Posts and Disciplines

• AYUSH Medical Officer with PG Qualification: for specialists with a postgraduate degree in Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy or Naturopathy; a multi-zonal cadre post.
• AYUSH Medical Officer: for graduates of an AYUSH system who finished the compulsory one-year internship; also multi-zonal. One of these posts falls on the SC (Group-II) roster point.
• Dietician: a district cadre post for B.Sc Nutrition graduates.
• Psychosocial Counselor: an on-call panel role for MSW holders, paid per session instead of a monthly salary.
• Yoga Professional: a district cadre post open to Naturopathy degree holders or those with a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• One-year outsourced engagement: The engagement covers 01.04.2026 to 31.03.2027. Continuing after that depends on need and your satisfactory performance.
• Multi-zonal Medical Officer posts: You can apply in any district of Multi Zone-I, but you can be selected in only one district.
• Local reservation: The Dietician, Psychosocial Counselor and Yoga Professional posts are district cadre, with 95% reserved for local candidates under the Presidential Order.
• Counselor panel: Eligible counselors may be put on a panel and called only when their services are needed, with at least 200 visits a year.
• Merit marks: Out of 100, 90 marks come from your qualifying exam marks and up to 10 marks reward age — 0.5 mark per completed year above 18, counted as on 01.07.2026.
• Reservation rules: Community, disability and ex-servicemen quotas follow the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
