ICMR-RMRCSVP Young Professional-II IT & Electrical Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

The Indian Council of Medical Research — Regional Medical Research Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram (ICMR-RMRCSVP), located in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and working under the Department of Health Research, is recruiting for 2 technical Young Professional-II posts on a consolidated salary. These are contract positions for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and fund availability. This is a unique opportunity to work in a research environment on the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with the country's apex medical research body.

• Young Professional-II (Electrical): 1 post — Electrical wiring inspection, DG set maintenance, field unit support in Kamorta & Car Nicobar Islands
• Young Professional-II (IT): 1 post — Network management, CCTV maintenance, website upkeep, computer hardware support, online conference coordination

Who Can Apply?

For Young Professional-II (Electrical):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with at least 55% marks from a recognised university or college
• Experience: 1 year of post-qualification experience in a related field

For Young Professional-II (IT):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Application, Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Graphics with at least 55% marks
• Experience: 1 year of post-qualification experience in a relevant field, especially networking and web designing

• Persons already in regular time-scale service under any government department or organisation are not eligible to apply.
• Experience must have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years
• Age cut-off date: as on the date of the walk-in interview (12 May 2026)
• Age relaxation will be as per ICMR guidelines

Salary

• Both posts carry a consolidated salary of Rs. 42,000 per month
• Note: These are contract positions. Benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, LTC, Medical claim, and staff quarters applicable to regular ICMR staff are not admissible for these posts.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview — No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single-stage walk-in interview:

1. Registration: Report at ICMR-RMRCSVP, Sri Vijaya Puram by 09:30 AM on 12 May 2026 with your filled application form, self-attested copies of certificates, and original documents
2. Walk-in Interview: Exact interview time will be communicated on the same day after registration is complete
3. Document Verification: Original certificates for educational qualification, date of birth, work experience, caste, and photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving Licence) must be produced

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Travel and accommodation must be arranged by the candidate.

• Inspect electrical wiring and installations across the Centre's main building, staff quarters, Director's bungalow, and guest house in Sri Vijaya Puram (Electrical post)
• Support and maintain field units located in Kamorta and Car Nicobar Islands
• Resolve electrical issues and maintain diesel generator sets at the Centre (Electrical post)
• Organise online meetings, conferences, and workshops as required (IT post)
• Manage intranet and internet connectivity across the Centre, staff quarters, and remote field units (IT post)
• Maintain and update the Centre's websites regularly (IT post)
• Assist with CCTV network maintenance and monitor computer hardware and printers (IT post)
• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the Competent Authority
