Periyar University, a NAAC 'A++' Grade State University ranked NIRF 94, has released advertisement CMRG/eOffice E-671131/200 dated 13 February 2026 for the post of Project Assistant under the CMRG-funded research project (CMRG250733) titled "Exploring Design and Fabrication of 2D Borophene-Based Nanoarchitectured Composites for Sustainable and Commercial Scale Energy Storage Devices". The project is funded by DoTE, Chennai.

Who Can Apply?

Salary

• Fellowship: Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Tenure: 3 years (36 months)
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: Based on your qualification, marks, and academic record
2. Interview: Conducted by the Principal Investigator at Periyar University, Salem

Selection is purely merit-based. There is no written exam.

• Carry out experimental research on 2D Borophene-based nanoarchitectured composites for energy storage applications.
• Synthesize and characterize materials using lab techniques as guided by the Principal Investigator.
• Maintain detailed lab records, project documentation, and progress reports.
• Assist in preparing research publications, conference presentations, and project deliverables.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment in the Department of Energy Science & Technology.
• Support the PI in literature review, data analysis, and project meetings.
• Follow all CMRG project guidelines and University research protocols.
