CSJMU Kanpur (formerly known as Kanpur University) is a NAAC A++ accredited university. The university's Projects and External Resource Generation Cell has invited applications for 14 project staff positions across diverse research areas: pharmaceuticals, AI in education, tourism, materials science, microbiology, education, pharmacology, and Indian knowledge systems. Each position is project-specific with separate qualifications, walk-in dates, and contact persons. Engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project funding.

Who Can Apply?

Each project has its own essential qualification. Common patterns are:

Pharmaceutical / Pharmacy projects

• Research Assistant - Niosomal face mask: B. Pharmacy. Desirable: M. Pharm with research aptitude in formulation development.
• Project Assistant - Smart Hydrogel: M. Pharm with at least 55% marks. Desirable: M. Pharm with 2-3 years experience in formulation development.

AI / Education / Social Sciences projects

• Project Assistant (Generative AI): Master's Degree in Social Sciences/Education/Computer Applications/Data Studies OR Master's Degree in interdisciplinary candidates with Social Science + AI/ICT exposure. NET/M.Phil/Ph.D preference.
• Field Investigator (Generative AI): Master's Degree in Social Sciences/Education/Computer Applications/Data Studies OR interdisciplinary Social Science + AI/ICT exposure. NET/M.Phil/Ph.D preference.

Tourism / MOOCs projects

• Field Investigator/Project Assistant (Tourism Awadh Region): Post Graduation with 55% minimum marks; Post Graduation with 55% minimum marks for Project Assistant.

Materials / Physics projects

• Project Assistant (IR lenses, CuO-ZnO Thin Films): M.Sc. Physics with at least 55% marks. Experience in material preparation, thin films and measurements.
• Project Assistant (Supercapacitor): M.Sc. Physics/Materials Science/Nanoscience OR B.Tech Materials Science & Metallurgy with at least 55% marks. Experience in handling XRD, SEM, LCR meter, Furnace, sputtering unit.

Education / Health Sciences projects

• Project Assistant (Adolescents Shelter Homes): M.Ed with at least 55% marks. NET qualified.
• Project Assistant (Pre-tuberculosis study): B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology / B.Sc Medical Microbiology with at least 55% marks. Computer skills mandatory.
• Project Assistant (Self-Talk Perfectionism): M.Ed with at least 55% marks. UGC NET.
• Project Assistant (Indigenous Knowledge): MA in English with UGC NET. Expertise on the postcolonial/cultural discourse.

Age Limit

• Research Assistant (Niosomal): 18 to 28 years.
• Project Assistant / Field Investigator (Generative AI): 18 to 45 years.
• Field Investigator (Tourism): 35 years maximum.
• Project Assistant (Tourism): 18 to 35 years.
• Project Assistants (IR lenses & CuO-ZnO Thin Films): 20 to 30 years.
• Project Assistant (Adolescents in Shelter Homes): 18 to 40 years.
• Project Assistant (Pre-tuberculosis Study): 18 to 28 years.
• Project Assistant (Self-Talk Perfectionism): 18 to 35 years.
• Project Assistant (Smart Hydrogel): 18 to 35 years.
• Project Assistant (Indigenous Knowledge): 18 to 40 years.
• Project Assistant (Supercapacitor): 18 to 40 years.
• Upper age limit relaxable as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Lowest: Rs. 5,000 per month (Field Investigator - Tourism Awadh).
• Mid: Rs. 6,000 per month (Research Assistant - Niosomal face mask).
• Standard Field Investigator: Rs. 7,000 per month (Generative AI project).
• Standard Project Assistant: Rs. 7,500 per month (most projects).
• Engagement is purely on temporary basis. The position will not confer any right on the incumbent for absorption in CSJMU.

Selection Process

1. Walk-in interview only: No written exam. Candidates must attend the interview at the assigned venue with all original documents.
2. Document verification: Bring 1 set of self-attested photocopies of all educational testimonials and 1 recent passport size photograph.
3. Interview by Project Director: Each project has its own selection committee headed by the Project Investigator.
4. Final semester / result-awaited candidates: Will not be allowed to appear for the interview. Only candidates with completed qualifications can attend.
