National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), the world's first and only university dedicated to forensic sciences and an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released a notification for 23 contractual positions across its Delhi Campus. The posts are spread over five schools - Behavioral Forensics, Management, Forensic Sciences, Law & Forensic Justice, and Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. Selection is through walk-in interviews, and there is no written exam for most candidates. Both experienced professionals and eligible freshers can apply, depending on the post.

Who Can Apply?

Associate Professor (Rs. 1,94,000/month)

• You need a Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline with First Class in the preceding degree.
• 6 years experience after Ph.D. (or 9 years total, of which 3 must be after Ph.D.), with at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level.
• You should have 4 research papers in SCI journals after Ph.D. and Ph.D. supervision/project work.
• For Clinical Psychology, registration as a Clinical Psychologist under the RCI Act is mandatory.

Assistant Professor (Rs. 90,000 with Ph.D. / Rs. 75,000 with NET / Rs. 68,000 as Lecturer)

• You need a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (First Class in preceding degree) plus a relevant Master's degree - this pays Rs. 90,000.
• A Master's degree with NET qualification in the relevant branch is considered for Assistant Professor (Lower) at Rs. 75,000.
• A Master's degree (First Class) without NET can be considered for the post of Lecturer at Rs. 68,000.

Junior Scientific Officer (Rs. 60,200/month)

• A Master's degree in the relevant field (Cyber Security, Forensic Science, IT, etc.) with 2 years experience, OR a B.E./B.Tech in the relevant field with 5 years experience.

Scientific Assistant (Rs. 47,400/month)

• A Master's degree in Forensic Science with the relevant specialisation, OR a B.E./B.Tech in the relevant field. Candidates with a Master's in Forensic Science must have studied at least 4 subjects from the listed disciplines.

Lab Assistant (Rs. 34,200/month)

• A Bachelor's degree in the relevant field (Forensic Science, Cyber Security, Clinical Psychology, etc.) with a good academic record.

For all scientific and lab posts, you should have adequate knowledge of English and Hindi and basic computer proficiency.

Age Limit

• Teaching posts (Associate/Assistant Professor): No upper age limit mentioned in the notification.
• Junior Scientific Officer: Not more than 35 years.
• Scientific Assistant and Lab Assistant: Not more than 30 years.
• Age and experience will be counted as on the last date of application (5 July 2026).

Salary

• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,94,000 per month
• Assistant Professor (with Ph.D.): Rs. 90,000 per month
• Assistant Professor (UGC NET qualified): Rs. 75,000 per month
• Lecturer: Rs. 68,000 per month
• Junior Scientific Officer: Rs. 60,200 per month
• Scientific Assistant: Rs. 47,400 per month
• Lab Assistant: Rs. 34,200 per month

All salaries are consolidated fixed monthly pay on a contractual basis. No separate allowances are paid.

Selection Process

Selection is mainly through a walk-in interview:

1. Screening Test / Skill Test: If a large number of candidates apply for a post, the University may hold a screening or skill test before the interview.
2. Interview: Eligible candidates appear before the interview panel on the scheduled date. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
3. Document Verification: You must bring all original certificates for education, experience and category at the time of the interview.

Interview Schedule: 08 July (Forensic Science & Management faculty), 09 July (Cyber Security, Behavioral Forensics & Law faculty), 16 July (Cyber Security JSO/SA/LA), 17 July (Forensic Sciences JSO/SA/LA) and 18 July 2026 (Behavioral Forensics SA).
