NCRTC General Manager Procurement Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is looking for a General Manager (Procurement) to run bidding and contract awards for the Namo Bharat regional rail network. NCRTC is a joint venture of the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, working under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The Delhi-Meerut corridor is already running commercially, and the next corridors to Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Panipat-Karnal will need a steady pipeline of execution, consultancy and maintenance contracts.

This is an immediate absorption opening, not a fresh-entry job. You must already hold a regular post in a government department, CPSE or state PSU, and if selected you move permanently onto NCRTC's own rolls. The role suits a senior civil engineer who has spent years handling bids on ADB or World Bank funded rail projects and wants to lead procurement for one of the country's biggest urban transit builds.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Regular employees only: Staff working on contract or ad-hoc terms cannot apply. You must be in service on the date eligibility is counted.
• Current grade matters: You must already hold the minimum CDA or IDA grade the notice prescribes. NCRTC compares the minimum basic pay of your scale with its own scale to decide equivalence, regardless of the maximum.
• Funded-project experience: At least five years of your experience must involve bid process management on rail projects funded by multilateral lenders such as ADB or the World Bank.
• Private sector experience: If your career mixes government and private jobs, private sector years count at 80%. Teaching or freelance work does not count at all.
• Deputationists: If you are currently on deputation, your eligibility is judged on your substantive grade in the parent organisation.
• Service bond: You sign a bond of Rs. 2 lakh plus GST (and training cost, if any) to serve NCRTC for at least two years. Probation follows company policy.
• Medical check: No pre-appointment medical test is required, though you are expected to be physically fit.
• Posting and shifts: The post is based in Delhi, and you may be given other assignments as business needs demand, including shift work.
• Non-joining penalty: If you are selected but do not join, you are barred from applying to NCRTC for two years.
