NCRTC Assistant Manager Electrical Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is filling an Assistant Manager/ Electrical post on a deputation basis, which means it is open to people already working in government, PSU, railway or metro bodies. NCRTC is a joint venture of the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

NCRTC builds and runs the Namo Bharat regional rapid rail network. The Delhi-Meerut corridor is fully open now, and the Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal corridors are next. This post sits on the traction power supply side: you will be the link between NCRTC and the power utilities, railways, metros, suppliers and consultants that keep the trains running.

It suits electrical engineers and diploma holders with hands-on traction work in RRTS, MRTS, high-speed rail or Indian Railways. Diploma holders need a longer total experience than B.E./B.Tech holders, but both need traction or coordination experience in rail systems. Good communication and report-writing matter as much as technical knowledge here.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation rules: Eligibility and pay for Central and State Government staff follow the DoPT deputation guidelines. If you are already on deputation, NCRTC looks at your substantive grade in your parent organisation.
• Tenure: The normal deputation term applies, but it can never go beyond five years.
• Posting: You can be posted to any NCRTC office, project unit, subsidiary or joint venture, and shift duties are possible.
• Housing: NCRTC gives company or leased accommodation as per your entitlement.
• Perks: Apart from deputation pay, NCRTC offers transport, medical, laptop, mobile handset, electricity and phone charges within company limits.
• Interview cut-off: The merit list is made only from the interview score, and you need at least 60% to be found suitable.
• Experience rules: Teaching or freelance work does not count, and experience on a post counts only from the day you took charge.
• Not joining: If you are selected but do not join, you are barred from applying to NCRTC for two years.

• Coordinate with members of the Electrical Working Group of i-Metro on traction power supply matters
• Work with power supply authorities of different states on traction power needs
• Liaise with Indian Railways and metro organisations on traction and power supply issues
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors and consultants for traction works
• Keep documentation related to traction power supply and traction up to date
• Gather information and prepare reports for management
