NCRTC GGM Strategic Planning Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) wants a senior officer to head its Strategic Planning work as Group General Manager, and the post is filled on a deputation basis. NCRTC is a joint venture of the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, and it works under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

The corporation builds and runs the Namo Bharat regional rapid rail network. The Delhi-Meerut corridor is now fully open to passengers, and the Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal corridors are next in the first phase. That makes this a good moment to join the team that plans what comes after the first line.

This is a policy and planning role, not a site job. You will handle transport research, modelling, policy papers and business development proposals, and you will deal with government departments and national and international transport forums. It suits serving Group 'A' officers and senior executives of CPSEs, PSUs and government departments who know budgeting, tendering, contracts, IT, administration and vigilance work, and who write and present well. A management PG degree or diploma gives you an edge.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation rules: Eligibility and pay for Central and State Government officers follow the DoPT deputation guidelines. If you are already on deputation, NCRTC looks at your substantive grade in your parent organisation.
• Tenure: The normal deputation term applies, but it can never go beyond five years.
• Posting: You can be posted to any NCRTC office, project unit, subsidiary or joint venture, and you may be given shift duties when the work needs it.
• Housing: NCRTC gives company or leased accommodation as per your entitlement.
• Perks: Apart from deputation pay, NCRTC offers transport, medical, laptop, mobile handset, electricity and phone charges within company limits.
• Interview cut-off: The merit list is made only from the interview score, and you need at least 60% to be found suitable.
• Experience rules: Teaching or freelance work does not count, and experience on a post counts only from the day you took charge.
• Not joining: If you are selected but do not join, you are barred from applying to NCRTC for two years.
