NBRI Aroma Mission Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI), Lucknow, is recruiting project staff for Aroma Mission 4.0, project code MMP-025304. The institute is part of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and carries out basic and applied research in plant sciences. This walk-in recruitment brings together research and project-support roles in Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Product Development. You would join a sponsored project on a temporary contract linked to its continuation.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Project Associate-I: This role sits within the project's agricultural and plant-science research work, spanning field studies and laboratory activities.
  • Project Associate-II: This role shares the research area while placing emphasis on previous research work, product development and analytical laboratory activities.
  • Project Assistant-II: This role supports the project's training, reporting and extension activities, connecting research work with practical programme support.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I

The notice highlights agronomic management, field experiments and plant-data collection as relevant areas for this role. Your work may draw on soil and plant analysis, biological assays or microbiology within the project's research activities.

Project Associate-II

This role connects field and laboratory work with product development and natural-product chemistry. The notice highlights analytical research equipment, related preparations and extension activities as areas where your background can support the project.

Project Assistant-II

The support role focuses on training programmes, reports, presentations and extension work. You would help the project team organise these activities and prepare the material needed to communicate its work.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: Your appointment ends with the project. Continuation depends on satisfactory progress, available funding and the applicable project rules.
  • Overall service limit: CSIR project service normally cannot exceed six years across projects. A limited exception allows service up to seven years for qualifying externally funded contract, consultancy or sponsored projects lasting twelve months or less.
  • Panel use: The institute will maintain a recommended panel that can be used when relevant project needs arise. The announced positions may change when appointments are made.
  • Travel arrangements: No travel or daily allowance is payable. Interviews may run late or continue the following day if attendance is high, so allow flexibility in your plans.
  • Recruitment conditions: NBRI may change or cancel the recruitment. Attempts to influence the process can disqualify you, and an appointment can end if an applicant is later found not to meet the requirements.
  • Language of notice: If the Hindi and English versions differ, the English version takes precedence.

Attend the walk-in at K. N. Kaul Block, CSIR-NBRI, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow, reporting at 10:00 AM before the scheduled interview. You can get the application form at the venue or download it beforehand from the institute's recruitment page.
