Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer Recruitment 2026 - 17 Posts
MPPSC has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 (dated 10 March 2026) to fill 17 permanent, Gazetted Class II posts of Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer under the Home Department. As a Public Prosecution Officer, you will represent the state government in criminal cases before Judicial Magistrate courts at the district and tehsil level across Madhya Pradesh. Law graduates with 2 years of active practice get preference at the final selection stage, making this a solid entry point into a government legal career.
Vacancy Details
- Unreserved (UR): 5 posts
- OBC: 4 posts
- SC: 3 posts
- ST: 3 posts
- EWS: 2 posts
- Total: 17 posts
Out of these, 6 posts are reserved for women candidates who are original residents of Madhya Pradesh, and 1 post is reserved for Divyangjan (Hearing Handicapped) candidates. Following a pending court case on OBC reservation (SLP 8764/2023 and WP 5596/2024), MPPSC will initially declare results for the main part (87% of posts), with the remaining provisional part (13% of posts) to be finalized once the matter is decided by the Court — so 1 OBC and 1 EWS post currently fall under this provisional category.

- If 500 or more candidates apply: There will be a Written Exam (OMR-based, objective/MCQ) on 18 October 2026 at exam centres in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior, with negative marking. Candidates are then shortlisted for Interview at up to 3 times the number of vacancies in each category.
