Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 dated 10 April 2026 for the post of Internal Accounts Examiner Officer in the Mineral Resources Department (Khanij Sadhan Vibhag). This is a Gazetted Second Class (Rajpatrit Dwitiya Shreni) permanent position. Selection is primarily through interview — a written exam will be held only if applications exceed 500. Postgraduate candidates in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics should apply.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need a Postgraduate degree from a recognized university in Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics with at least Second Division (minimum).
  • Domicile: Madhya Pradesh domicile is mandatory for the SC reserved post. UR post is open to candidates from all states.
  • Employment Registration: You must be registered with the Madhya Pradesh State Employment Exchange (Rojgar Karyalaya) as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court order (Case No. 5096/2022 dated 08.03.2022).

Age Limit

  • You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on 01 January 2027.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/Women/Government employees and other reserved categories get 5 years relaxation (maximum age up to 45 years) as per MP Government rules.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Total completed military service period is deducted from age, but resulting age should not be more than 3 years over the maximum limit.
  • Vikram Award Sportspersons: 5 years relaxation in maximum age.
  • Maximum age limit after combining all relaxations cannot exceed 45 years for any category.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 42,700 to Rs. 1,35,100 per month under Pay Level 10 of the MP State Pay Scale.
  • You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.

  • MP Native SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwBD: Rs. 250
  • All other categories and candidates from outside MP: Rs. 500
  • Additional portal fee: Rs. 40 (including GST) for all candidates
  • Error correction fee: Rs. 50 per correction (during correction window: 08 Aug to 05 Sep 2026)
  • Payment mode: Online through credit card, debit card, internet banking, or authorized MP Online kiosks
  • Fee is non-refundable. Portal fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection process depends on the number of applications received:

  1. If applications are 500 or fewer: Selection is purely through Interview. Candidates will be shortlisted at 12 candidates per vacancy (based on academic merit) and called for interview.
  2. If applications exceed 500: A Written Exam will be held first. Candidates who qualify the written exam will then be called for interview at 3 times the number of vacancies per category.
  3. Interview: Carries 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 41 for Unreserved and 31 for Reserved categories.
  4. Document Verification: You must submit all original documents along with your application form by post to the MPPSC office.

Final selection is based on merit — interview marks alone (if no written exam) or combined written exam + interview marks.

  • Handle district-level establishment of District Mineral Foundation (D.M.F.) and audit-related work
  • Manage and supervise accounts and financial records of the Mineral Resources Department
  • Inspect departmental offices for accounts compliance and financial accuracy
  • Prepare audit reports and ensure timely submission to higher authorities
  • Monitor expenditure and revenue collection across departmental units
  • Follow government accounting rules and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for the department
