The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission originally released this recruitment under Advertisement No. 24/2025 (dated 30 December 2025), and later issued a corrigendum on 27 July 2026 extending the application window. This is a Gazetted Class II, permanent post — not a contract or guest-faculty role. Of the 116 posts, 30 are reserved for guest faculty already teaching in MP government colleges, and 41 are reserved for women who are original residents of Madhya Pradesh. If you have a postgraduate degree in Chemistry and have cleared NET or SET, this is a stable, long-term teaching career with the state government.

The state government can revise the number of posts any time before the written exam result is declared.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in Chemistry or an allied subject — Applied Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Inorganic Chemistry — from a recognized Indian university, or an equivalent foreign degree.
• Eligibility Test: Along with your degree, you must have cleared NET (conducted by UGC or CSIR) or the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (SET). SET/SLET cleared in any other state is not valid for this post.
• PhD Exemption: If you hold a PhD awarded under the UGC Regulations 2009 — with at least two external examiners, an open viva-voce, and at least one published research paper — you do not need NET or SET.
• Candidates who registered for M.Phil/PhD before 11 July 2009 are governed by the rules that existed at that time, and their PhD degree remains valid for eligibility.

Age Limit

• You should have completed 21 years but not completed 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, women, and government employees who are Madhya Pradesh domicile get up to 5 years relaxation (3 years for OBC non-creamy layer). Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their military service.
• Even after all relaxations, the age limit cannot exceed 45 years in any category.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get an entry pay of Rs. 57,700 per month under Academic Level 10 of the 7th Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Madhya Pradesh government rules.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / EWS / PwBD candidates who are Madhya Pradesh domicile: Rs. 250
• All other categories, including General category candidates and candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh: Rs. 500
• Late Fee: An extra Rs. 3,000 if you apply between 17 May and 23 May 2026, or an extra Rs. 25,000 if you apply between 24 May and 8 September 2026 (as revised by the corrigendum).
• Payment mode: Online via credit card, debit card, or net banking, or in cash through MP Online kiosks.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Exam (OMR Based): An objective-type test with negative marking, held offline. Candidates are shortlisted for interview at three times the number of vacancies in each category.
2. Interview: Your final merit is based on your combined written exam and interview marks.

The written exam will be held at centres in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, and Jabalpur. Madhya Pradesh residents get first preference for their chosen centre; candidates from other states are allotted the Indore centre.
