IIT Indore Design and Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is hiring one Design & Research Assistant for a project in its School of Innovation. The project is building a digital documentation and authenticity assessment tool for Madhubani folk art, with the aim of preserving this cultural heritage from Bihar. It is funded by the institute's own Young Faculty Research Seed Grant (YFRSG), and the post is a one-year project appointment, not a regular job.

This is a rare research opening for design and fine arts graduates at an IIT. If you hold a BDes or BFA, care about folk art and visual documentation, and are comfortable with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, the role lets you combine field research with hands-on design work and get your name on research papers.
