ITPO Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry that runs Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, is filling six Group C office and technical posts through direct recruitment. The big difference from a normal drive: there is no fresh written exam. ITPO is picking people from the SSC disclosed-candidates pool — those who sat the SSC Junior Engineer, CGL or Stenographer Grade C exams of 2024, did well but were not finally recommended for a job, and agreed to let SSC share their scores under the DoPT scheme.

The architecture post works differently. It is filled on your GATE Architecture and Planning score from 2024, 2025 or 2026. If you narrowly missed the SSC final list, this drive gives you a second chance to turn a 2024 score into a job, because the merit list is built from marks SSC has already published.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Assistant (Civil): for civil engineering degree or diploma holders from the SSC JE 2024 pool. The work centres on building and maintaining permanent structures, and experience at exhibition venues is valued.
• Senior Assistant (Electrical): the electrical counterpart, also drawn from the SSC JE 2024 merit.
• Senior Assistant (Architecture): filled on GATE paper AR scores — the only post here open to people outside the SSC pool.
• Assistant (Accounts): for B.Com graduates from the SSC CGL 2024 pool who already have finance or accounts experience; government or PSU experience gets preference.
• Junior Stenographer: for graduates from the SSC Stenographer Grade C 2024 exam with shorthand and typing skills; earlier work as a steno-typist is a plus.
• Junior Assistant (General Cadre): the biggest group, drawn from SSC CGL 2024. You need computer typing speed, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience handling files or data entry.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Who is considered: For the five SSC-linked posts, only candidates whose details SSC has disclosed under DoPT OM No. 39020/01/2016-Estt.(B) dated 21.12.2020 can be considered.
• Diploma holders: For the three Senior Assistant posts, only diploma holders need prior work experience; degree holders do not.
• Cut-off date: Your age, experience, OBC creamy-layer status and certificates are all judged as on the closing date of the online application.
• No rounding of marks: Enter your percentage to two decimal places — 54.99% is treated as less than 55%. If your university gives CGPA, convert it using the university's own formula and keep its certificate ready.
• NOC is compulsory: If you work in a Central or State Government office, autonomous body or PSU, you must show a No Objection Certificate from your employer. A resignation letter or undertaking is not accepted in its place.
• Posting: Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India.
• Provisional selection: Your selection depends on document checks, a background check of character and antecedents, and meeting the medical standards for the post.
• Distance learning: Qualifications earned through open or distance learning are accepted.
• No TA/DA: Nothing is paid for attending document verification, and any legal dispute falls under courts in Delhi.
