Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), through its Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) at Kumarakom, Kottayam, has released a re-notification (No. Acad/0233/2026 dated 21.05.2026) for the post of Guest Lecturer in Animal Husbandry. The selected candidate will handle classes of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture course at RARS Kumarakom. The appointment is purely provisional for the semester or until regular hands are appointed, whichever is earlier. This opening is ideal for M.V.Sc. holders looking for short-term teaching engagements in Kerala.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: M.V.Sc. in Livestock Production Management, Dairy Science, Poultry Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Physiology, or Veterinary Pathology, recognised by Kerala Agricultural University.
• Subject Focus: You will handle Animal Husbandry classes for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students.

Age Limit

• As per the norms of Kerala PSC.

Salary

• Rs. 1,500 per session for handling a 2-hour practical class.
• Rs. 1,000 per session for handling a 1-hour theory class.
• Payment is on a daily wage basis. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or for handling sessions.
• The appointment does not confer any right of permanency or regularisation in KAU.

Selection is based on:

1. Marks in Essential Qualification: Your M.V.Sc. marks will be considered.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email or phone. You must reach the RARS Kumarakom office on the interview date with all original documents.
