The College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, under Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), has released notification number COAVKA/1707/2026-E2 dated 1 July 2026 to fill one Assistant Professor post in the Department of Post Harvest Management. This is a contract post for one year, or until regular staff are appointed, whichever comes first. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Master's degree (MSc) in Post Harvest Management recognised by KAU with at least 55% marks, along with NET qualification.
• If no NET-qualified candidates apply: Candidates with a Ph.D or Master's degree in the concerned discipline recognised by KAU will be considered.
• Desirable: Teaching experience in the concerned discipline gives you an added advantage.

Age Limit

• You should not be above 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Given to eligible candidates as per existing Government rules.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 44,100 per month.
• This is a fixed consolidated amount for the contract post. No separate allowances are mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection is done through a single walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview on the scheduled date at the College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara.
2. Document Verification: Bring original and self-attested copies of certificates proving your age, qualification, caste and experience for on-the-spot checking.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. If you are selected, you will need to sign an agreement on stamp paper worth Rs. 200. The appointment is purely provisional and does not give any right to permanency in the University.
