Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), through Notification No. COAPAD/672/2026-B1 dated 18 May 2026, has invited applications for selection of Assistant Professors on contract basis in five different departments at the College of Agriculture, Padannakkad. The college is located in Kasaragod district, alongside NH 66 between Nileshwar and Kanhangad. No separate call letter will be sent — eligible candidates must directly appear for the interview on the scheduled date with the filled-in application form and original documents.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from the concerned Faculty recognised by Kerala Agricultural University.
• Master's Degree in the relevant subject recognised by KAU with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale where grading system is followed).
• NET Qualification — Must have qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by ICAR / UGC / CSIR / AICTE or a similar UGC-accredited test.
• A relaxation of 5% in master's marks is permitted for SC / ST / Differently-abled (Physically and visually) candidates.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge in Malayalam language (reading and writing)
• Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognised by Kerala Agricultural University

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Available for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities as prescribed in the Kerala State and Subordinate Services Rule 1958 (as amended).

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 44,100 per month (fixed, no additional allowances).
• This is a contract-based engagement and the consolidated salary does not include DA, HRA or any other allowances.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a single-day walk-in process. There is no separate written exam stage.

1. Online Application: Submit the Google Form along with all required details before 01 June 2026, 5:00 PM.
2. Written Test / Interview: Walk-in directly to College of Agriculture, Padannakkad on 04 June 2026 at 09:00 AM with the filled-in application form and self-attested copies of certificates. Original documents must be produced for verification at the venue.
3. Document Verification: Originals of date of birth, SSLC, degree, post-graduate degree, NET certificate, Ph.D. (if any), experience certificates and publications are verified at the interview venue.

No separate call letter will be sent. Applicants who submitted the online form are expected to appear directly.
