Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released Advt. No. IITPKD/R/NF/01/2026 for filling 3 non-academic posts through Direct Recruitment and Deputation. IIT Palakkad is located in Pudussery, Kanjikode West, Palakkad, Kerala. Two posts are for civil engineering professionals (Group A) and one is for a Hindi language specialist (Group C). The Superintending Engineer post can be filled either by direct recruitment or deputation, while the Executive Engineer post is on deputation basis only.

Who Can Apply?

Superintending Engineer (Civil) — Direct Recruitment

• Option 1: M.E/M.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university, plus 8 years of regular service in Group A posts (at least 3 years as Executive Engineer in Pay Matrix Level 11)
• Option 2: B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university, plus 10 years of regular service in Group A posts (at least 3 years as Executive Engineer in Pay Matrix Level 11)

Superintending Engineer (Civil) — Deputation (Short Term Contract)

• Officers from Central/State Governments, Institutes of National Importance, Universities, or Government laboratories/PSUs holding analogous posts and possessing the essential educational qualification

Executive Engineer (Civil) — Deputation Only

• Officers from Central/State Governments, Institutes of National Importance, Universities, or Government laboratories/PSUs
• Must hold analogous post and possess B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 8 years of experience as Assistant Executive Engineer in Pay Matrix Level 10 (Pre-revised PB-3: GP 5400)

Junior Hindi Assistant Gr.I — Direct Recruitment

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at Degree level, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant translation experience (Hindi to English and vice versa) in any University/Government/Government organization

All qualifications must be from a recognized University/Institution. Mark sheets and experience certificates must be uploaded in the application portal.

Age Limit

• Superintending Engineer (Civil): Maximum 50 years (Direct Recruitment) / 56 years (Deputation)
• Executive Engineer (Civil): Maximum 56 years (Deputation)
• Junior Hindi Assistant Gr.I: Maximum 32 years
• Age as on: Closing date of online application — 13 April 2026 (original closing date used for age calculation)
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per Government of India norms

Salary

• Superintending Engineer (Civil): Pay Level 12 — Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Executive Engineer (Civil): Pay Level 11 — Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month
• Junior Hindi Assistant Gr.I: Pay Level 5 — Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules

Application Fee

• Group A posts (Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer): Rs. 1,000
• Group B and C posts (Junior Hindi Assistant Gr.I): Rs. 500
• SC / ST / PwD / Women candidates: No fee (exempted)

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the following process:

1. Shortlisting: The Scrutiny/Shortlisting Committee may adopt additional or higher criteria if the number of applications is high
2. Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process and subsequent stages as per the Committee's decision
3. Document Verification: Original documents and certificates will be verified

The mode of selection for each post will be published on the Recruitment Website of IIT Palakkad. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the information they provide in their online application. All communication will be through electronic media and the recruitment website only.
