IIT Mandi Project Associate-II Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi), located in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, has invited applications for the post of Project Associate-II under the project titled "Effect of add-on Yoga based intervention on neurophysiological attention mechanisms in schizophrenia — a randomized controlled trial". This project is funded by DST under the Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI) and runs until August 2028. The position is based at IIT Mandi's IKSMHA Centre, which conducts cutting-edge research combining Indian Knowledge Systems with modern neuroscience. This is a temporary position for 1 year, renewable based on performance until the project ends.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: Master's in Yoga OR Bachelor's in Yoga & Naturopathy Science (BNYS) or equivalent degree
• Experience: You need at least 2 years of research experience
• Desirable Qualification: Experience in EEG & fMRI data acquisition will give you an advantage
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age relaxation can be considered for candidates with exceptional records and as per Government Reservation Norms (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD)

Salary

• NET/GATE qualified candidates: Rs 35,000 per month plus HRA as applicable
• Other candidates: Rs 28,000 per month plus HRA as applicable
• This is a consolidated salary (no separate DA or other allowances beyond HRA)

Selection Process

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: IIT Mandi will shortlist eligible candidates based on qualifications, research experience, and CV. The institute may set higher criteria than the minimum advertised qualifications.
2. Interview (Online/Offline): Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Details will be shared on the website or communicated individually.

Note: Relaxation of marks may be given to SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms.
