Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) has released a notification for 1 Project Assistant post in a research project titled "Design and Development of a Sweating Thermal Mannequin Instrument for Performance Evaluation of Technical Textiles". The project is guided by Dr. Udayraj and Dr. Vijay S Duryodhan of the Mechanical Engineering department. In simple words, the team is building a special instrument that behaves like a human body to test how well technical fabrics perform. This is a project-based (contract) role, which makes it a strong opportunity for fresh engineering graduates who want real research and lab experience at an IIT before moving into a career or higher studies.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a BTech/BE in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering or Design Engineering (or a closely related specialization).

Desirable Skills (Preferred, Not Compulsory)

• Hands-on experience in the manufacturing field
• Good knowledge of mechanical, textile or design engineering
• Experience in fabrication and automation of instruments
• Skills in C++, MATLAB or any other programming language
• Experience in technical writing and research publication

You should be able to work independently with limited supervision, handle tight deadlines, and coordinate well with the project team and outside partners. Preference will be given to candidates who already have work experience related to the project.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years

Salary

• You will get a fixed salary of Rs. 35,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on an interview. There is no written test:
