The Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai), Durg, Chhattisgarh has released an advertisement for 1 Junior Research Fellow position. This post is part of an ANRF-PMECRG funded research project on 'Fast wireless charging of electric vehicles with optimized system architecture, control and coil design for improved efficiency and power density'. In simple words, you will help build faster and more efficient wireless charging systems for electric vehicles. The project is led by Dr. Shashank Kurm, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

This is also a leadership role. You will help manage the project from start to finish, coordinate team members, prepare reports and keep the work on schedule. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• A Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or Instrumentation with at least 1 year of industry or research experience, OR
• An M.Tech / M.E. / M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or a related area.

You Must Also Meet One of These

• Qualified in GATE, OR
• Qualified in a national-level examination conducted by central government departments or agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, or IISER, OR
• Have 2 years of professional experience.

Preferred Skills (Desirable)

• Circuit simulation using MATLAB, PLECS or PSIM
• Experience in digital control, digital communication and battery management systems
• Electromagnetic simulation using ANSYS or COMSOL
• Leadership and management skills, such as organising workshops and seminars
• Strong technical writing and research publication record
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and meet tight deadlines

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28 years

Salary

• You will get a fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month, plus applicable House Rent Allowance (HRA).
• The position is initially for six months and can be extended based on your performance and the availability of project funds.
• The total project duration is 3 years, so there is scope to continue for a longer period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on shortlisting and an interview:

1. Shortlisting: The project team shortlists candidates based on their qualifications and relevant experience. If a large number of candidates apply, the committee may set a higher bar than the minimum qualifications.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called for an online or offline interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

• Work on control algorithms, digital communication and battery management for the system
