IISER Tirupati Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 (Advt No. 35/2026)

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is an autonomous institution of national importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It has released Advertisement No. 35/2026 for 1 Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Physics on a purely contract basis. This role focuses on running lab courses in areas like Electronics, Optics, Condensed Matter Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Nuclear Physics. The expected date of joining is 1 August 2026.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics.
• Experience: 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience in teaching or research is desirable (not mandatory).

• If your Ph.D. degree is awaited: Rs. 42,000 per month plus 9% HRA. You must submit a letter from a competent authority stating that your thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defence is pending.
• A nominal research grant will also be available under this program.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:

1. Screening of Applications: A Screening Committee shortlists candidates based on qualifications and experience. Meeting the minimum qualification alone does not guarantee an interview call.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
