University of Ladakh (UoL) Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

University of Ladakh, a young trans-Himalayan university based in Leh, has released Advertisement Notice No. 03 of 2026 for 3 Group-B administrative posts at its Leh Campus. Two posts — Accounts Officer and Assistant Director (Planning & Statistics) — are open on deputation basis (initially 3 years, extendable) for officers already serving in government finance or planning departments, while the Estates Officer post is a direct recruitment opportunity open to civil engineers. Who Can Apply?

For Accounts Officer (Deputation, Level-8):

  • You should be an officer from the Finance Department of UT Ladakh holding an analogous post on regular basis, or with 5 years' regular service in Pay Level 7, or 8 years' regular service in Pay Level 6B.
  • Officers from Finance/Accounts departments of Central/State Government, Universities, or other autonomous organizations with the same experience are also eligible.

For Assistant Director - Planning & Statistics (Deputation, Level-8):

  • You should be an officer from the Planning Department of UT Administration of Ladakh holding an analogous post on regular basis, or with 5 years' regular service in Pay Level 7, or 8 years' regular service in Pay Level 6.

For Estates Officer (Direct Recruitment, Level-7):

  • You need a minimum second-class Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • You must have at least 5 years' experience in construction and maintenance of buildings, transport, and estate management.

Age Limit

  • For the two deputation posts (Accounts Officer, Assistant Director), the age limit is up to 56 years as on the closing date.
  • For the Estates Officer (Direct Recruitment) post, the age limit is up to 35 years as on the closing date.
  • Reservation/relaxation applies as per the UT Ladakh Reservation (Amendment) Rule, 2025. Candidates applying under the Unreserved category do not get any relaxation.

Salary

  • Accounts Officer & Assistant Director (Planning & Statistics): Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month (Pay Level 8).
  • Estates Officer: Rs. 44,990 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (Pay Level 7).
  • You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per University/UT Ladakh rules.

Selection Process

Your selection will be done in these stages:

  1. Screening: The Screening Committee shortlists candidates using its own criteria, based on the number of applications received.
  2. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates appear for a written test related to their post.
  3. Interview: Candidates who clear the written test are called for an interview.
  4. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates for age, qualification, experience, and category at the time of verification/interview.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test or interview.

Responsibilities

  • Manage university accounts, budgets, and financial records (Accounts Officer)
  • Prepare and monitor planning and statistical reports to support policy decisions (Assistant Director)
  • Oversee construction, maintenance and upkeep of university buildings and estates (Estates Officer)
  • Ensure compliance with financial rules, audit requirements and government guidelines
  • Coordinate with UT Ladakh departments and other government bodies on official matters
  • Supervise support staff and manage day-to-day administrative operations
  • Prepare reports, correspondence and documentation for the Registrar's office

Graduate degree with relevant government finance/planning service (Accounts Officer/Assistant Director - Deputation); B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 5 years' experience (Estates Officer - Direct Recruitment)
