IISER Tirupati is hiring 1 Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate-I for a research project in Physics funded by DST-ANRF, Government of India. If you have an M.Sc in Physics, you can apply. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is an autonomous institution of national importance under the Ministry of Education. Under Advertisement No. 41/2026, it has invited applications for one Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate-I for the project "Investigations on near and far from equilibrium dynamical properties in quantum matter" under Principal Investigator Dr. Sambuddha Sanyal. This is a great chance for physics postgraduates to work on cutting-edge quantum matter research at a leading science institute.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• M.Sc in Physics or an equivalent degree from a recognised university.

Desirable

• Working knowledge of Fortran, GNU Octave, and arbitrary precision numerical algebra.
• Experience with second quantization formalism, quantum field theory, and disordered systems.

Age Limit

• Not more than 50 years as on the closing date of the advertisement.

Salary (Fellowship)

• Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA per month (consolidated) if you have a valid CSIR / UGC-JRF / NET / GATE or qualified a national level test conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies.
• Rs. 30,000 + 10% HRA per month for others who do not fall under the above category.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Screening of Applications: A screening committee shortlists candidates based on qualification and experience. If many applications come in, only the best candidates are called.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are informed by email and called for an interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
