SVIMS, an autonomous medical institute run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in Tirupati, has released Notification No. 01/Nursing/2026/Estt. dated 13 July 2026 for direct recruitment of Staff Nurses. Out of the total 236 posts, 212 are regular vacancies and 24 are backlog vacancies. Only candidates native to Andhra Pradesh (post-bifurcation of the state) can apply, and as per TTD Employees Service Rules, only candidates professing the Hindu religion are eligible. Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification (Option 1): B.Sc Nursing from a recognized university, registered with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council.
  • Qualification (Option 2): Intermediate + 3-year General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course + 6-month Midwifery training, with 3 years' experience in a Medical College or tertiary care hospital, registered with the AP Nursing Council.
  • Desirable: BLS & ACLS training certificates and knowledge of computer applications.
  • Domicile: You must be native to the State of Andhra Pradesh (post-bifurcation), with study/residence certificates for 4 academic years from class 7 to 10.
  • Religion: Only candidates professing the Hindu religion are eligible, as per Rule 9(vi) of the TTD Employees Service Rules, 1989.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 18 and 42 years old as on 1 July 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates get 5 years; PwBD candidates get 10 years; Ex-servicemen get 3 years plus their length of service in the armed forces.
  • SVIMS Adhoc/Outsourcing/Contract staff with at least 5 years of service in SVIMS get a 5-year relaxation.
  • The maximum age with all relaxations combined is 52 years.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 38,720 to Rs. 1,18,390 per month under the Andhra Pradesh RPS 2022 pay scale.
  • You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Andhra Pradesh government rules.

  • BC / SC / ST: Rs. 1,770 (including 18% GST)

Selection Process

Selection is based on a total of 100 marks:

  1. Written Test (75 marks): A computer-based online test of 75 multiple-choice questions for 75 marks in 90 minutes, with no negative marking. This test is conducted only if more than 10 applications are received for the post; otherwise selection is based directly on qualifying marks, experience and interview.
  2. Experience (15 marks): You get 1 mark for every completed 6 months of relevant nursing service, up to a maximum of 15 marks, preferably in government or semi-government hospitals with 500+ beds.
  3. Interview (10 marks)
  4. Document Verification: Your original certificates, community status and antecedents are checked before final selection.

You need to score at least 40% (OC/EWS), 35% (BC) or 30% (SC/ST/PwBD) in the written test to qualify. The question paper will be in English.
