ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI) Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

ICAR-IVRI, located at Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP), has invited applications for one Senior Research Fellow post under its Animal Nutrition Division for the ICAR-ILRI project "Assessment of Spatio-Temporal Variation in Enteric Methane Emissions and Development of Primary Data Based Inventory". This project (2023-2026) studies methane emissions from livestock using the SF6 tracer technique. Candidates with nutrition or molecular biology research experience have an added advantage. The post is purely temporary/contractual and ends along with the project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Post-graduation degree in Animal Nutrition, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or allied sciences along with National Eligibility Test (NET) from agencies like ICAR, CSIR, UGC, or ICMR, OR a Doctoral degree in Animal Nutrition, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or allied sciences.
• Desirable: Experience in Nutrition (especially the SF6 tracer technique for methane measurement), Molecular Biology, or Microbiological techniques.

Age Limit

• Your upper age limit should be up to 35 years (male) or 40 years (female).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for ST/SC/OBC/Female candidates as per government rules.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 37,000 per month for the 1st and 2nd year of the project, rising to Rs. 42,000 per month during the 3rd year.
• You will also get HRA as per ICAR rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this post. Selection has two steps:

1. Shortlisting: Your application and CV will be reviewed against the eligibility criteria.
2. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email and called for an online interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
