Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC) and its autonomous institution iCEM have released a recruitment notice for two senior leadership positions to drive the institute's mining innovation and campus operations functions. These are high-impact strategic roles located at the new Dev Dholera Campus near Ahmedabad. • Director - Innovation: 1 post (leads mining technology innovation, scouting, scale-up and pilot deployments)

Who Can Apply?

For Director - Innovation:

• Qualification: Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
• Experience: 20+ years in innovation, incubation, venture building, or R&D leadership.
• Preferred: Experience in mining, metals, heavy industry, or deep-tech sectors; track record of scaling startups, driving pilots, and commercialization.

For Director - Facility Management:

• Qualification: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Infrastructure / Industrial Management, Hotel & Hospitality Management, or Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical).
• Experience: Minimum 20 to 25 years of post-qualification experience in facility management, administration, infrastructure operations, estate management, industrial township management, corporate services, or hospitality & support services.
• Preferred Certifications: CFM, FMP, LEED / Green Building, IOSH / NEBOSH, or PMP / PRINCE2.
• Preferred Industry Exposure: PSU / Government, mining, power, large manufacturing, infrastructure, or smart campus management.

Salary

• The salary will be commensurate with experience and as per iCEM's internal compensation policy for senior leadership positions.
• The notification does not publish a specific pay range for these Director-level posts — it is typically negotiated based on the candidate's profile.
• The engagement is on a contractual basis for 3 years, extendable based on performance.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:
