Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 to fill 45 teaching posts on contract for one year at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi (U.P.). The engagement is extendable up to three years. Selection is by walk-in interview only — no written exam. Doctors with postgraduate medical qualifications across 19 specialties including Anatomy, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Pediatrics, ENT, Radiology, and Emergency Medicine can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor

• MD/MS in the concerned subject
• At least 3 years experience as Associate Professor in a recognised medical institution, with 2 research publications as among the first three authors
• Basic Course in Biomedical Research completed

For Associate Professor

• MD/MS in the concerned subject
• 4 years experience as Assistant Professor (5 years for those directly appointed as Assistant Professor)
• 2 research publications as among first three authors

For Assistant Professor

• MD/MS in the concerned subject
• 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognised medical institution

For Senior Resident

• MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject
• Updated registration with State / NMC Medical Council

Note: For Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology, non-medical candidates with M.Sc + Ph.D may also apply.

Age Limit

• Teaching Faculty: up to 69 years (as on 27 May 2026)
• Senior Resident: up to 45 years (50 years for non-clinical subjects)
• Maximum tenure: up to 70 years of age

Salary

• Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 1,23,100 per month + allowances
• Associate Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 78,800 per month + allowances
• Assistant Professor: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 67,700 per month + allowances
• Senior Resident: Fixed Basic Pay of Rs. 67,700 per month + allowances
• Re-employed pensioners may continue to draw pension and dearness relief along with contract pay

Selection Process

Selection is by walk-in interview only — there is no written exam:

1. Email Application: Send scanned copy of the filled application form with supporting documents to dean-varanasi.up@esic.gov.in by/before 5:00 PM on 27 May 2026.
2. Walk-in Interview: Carry the original application form, supporting documents and Demand Draft (if applicable) to the Office of Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, 2nd Floor, Pandeypur, Varanasi (U.P.)-221002 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
3. Mode: Offline or online interview before the Selection Board
4. Document Verification: All original certificates checked before generation of offer of appointment

Final selection is based on acquired academic credentials and interview performance. Result will be published on www.esic.gov.in and offer of appointment sent by email.

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in the assigned department
• Provide clinical care to patients in OPD, IPD and emergency duties
• Conduct ward rounds, surgeries, and procedures relevant to your specialty
• Guide junior residents and supervise their clinical training
• Publish research papers and participate in academic activities
• Maintain attendance through Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS)
• Follow hospital protocols and ESIC Medical Council guidelines
