The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur), one of India's premier B-schools, has invited online applications for the position of Resident Medical Officer / Senior Medical Officer. The doctor will run the on-campus dispensary and provide medical care to students, faculty, staff, and residents of the IIM Nagpur campus. The position is residential, so the selected candidate must be willing to stay on campus and respond to medical emergencies outside normal OPD hours.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a recognised University/Institute.
• Registration: You must be registered with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.
• Desirable: MD or PG Diploma in General Medicine, Family Medicine, or Community Health.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a recognised hospital, dispensary, or academic institution of repute.
• Preferred: Prior experience at IIMs, IITs, NITs, or any premier residential institute.
• Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, emergency-handling ability, good communication, and computer-based record keeping.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the last date of application (16 June 2026).
• Age relaxation will be applicable for OBC, SC/ST, PWD, and EWS candidates as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Fixed-term appointment for 2 years on IIM Nagpur contract.
• Consolidated monthly emoluments as per IIM Nagpur norms (final figure communicated during interview).
• On-campus accommodation will be provided.
• Perks and allowances as per Institute rules.
• The contract may be extended further based on performance and Institute requirements.

Selection Process

Selection is through a screening and interview process:

1. Application Screening: IIM Nagpur will shortlist applicants based on qualification, experience, and overall profile match.

3. Document Verification: Originals will be checked at the time of interview / joining.

• Conduct pre-employment medical examinations for new recruits

• Inspect drinking water quality and canteen food safety on a regular basis
