MbPA Senior Advisor Land Utilisation Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) is engaging a Senior Advisor for Encroachment Removal and Land Utilisation Information System in its Security Division. This is a specialist contractual assignment for a retired senior port officer who understands port land, unauthorised development and inter-agency enforcement. The advisor will work under the direct supervision of the Secretary, MbPA, bringing field experience into both land-protection planning and the authority's information system. The position does not create any claim to regular or permanent service with the port.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The first engagement is for one year. MbPA may extend it after a satisfactory performance review and approval by the Chairperson.
• Exclusive assignment: You cannot take another assignment while engaged by MbPA, and you must avoid work or advice that conflicts with the port's interests.
• Confidentiality: Official records and information remain protected under the applicable secrecy rules. You must return all physical and digital assignment records before the contract closes and final payment is released.
• Working arrangement: Normal duty hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though operational needs may call for longer hours. Sunday is normally the weekly rest day, but the administration can shift it when port work demands.
• Leave: The contract provides 20 days of casual leave in a year along with public holidays. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or converted into cash.
• Medical and housing: MbPA hospital or dispensary care is available to the appointee, not dependants. Port quarters may be offered subject to availability and recovery of rent, licence fee, electricity and water charges.
• Exit and conduct: Either side can ordinarily end the contract with one month's written notice. MbPA can act earlier for false declarations, misconduct, negligence, poor work, a serious contract breach or an adverse police-verification report.
• Travel and disputes: No TA or DA is payable for attending a test or interview. Any recruitment-related legal dispute falls under Mumbai jurisdiction.
