Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Indore, has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 dated 14 May 2026 for 43 posts of Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) and Senior Residents on a 1-year contract, extendable up to 3 years based on performance. Retired and Working Professors can also apply for eligible posts. The drive covers 13 departments and includes 43 backlog/unfilled carry-forward vacancies.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: As per National Medical Commission (NMC) (erstwhile MCI) guidelines for the respective cadre and department.
• Medical Registration: Updated registration with NMC / State Medical Council for all MBBS/MD/MS qualifications. "Applied for" document acceptable at interview but updated registration must be produced at joining.
• Retired / Working Professors are also eligible to apply for eligible posts.
• NOC: Candidates working in Government, Autonomous, Statutory or Private institutions should preferably bring NOC at the time of interview.

Age Limit

• Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years as on 26 May 2026
• Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on 26 May 2026 (with age relaxation as per Government of India norms)
• Maximum tenure of engagement will be up to 70 years of age for teaching faculty, whichever is earlier.

Salary

• Professor (Level 13): Basic Pay Rs. 1,23,100 + NPA 20% (where applicable) + DA 60% + HRA 20% + TA 7200 + DA thereon
• Associate Professor (Level 12): Basic Pay Rs. 78,800 + NPA 20% + DA 60% + HRA 20% + TA
• Assistant Professor (Level 11): Basic Pay Rs. 67,700 + NPA 20% + DA 60% + HRA 20% + TA
• Senior Resident (Level 11): Basic Pay Rs. 67,700 + NPA 20% + DA 60% + HRA 20% + TA
• Allowances are revised automatically when DA rates are revised by the Government.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / ESIC Regular Employee / Defence Ex-Servicemen / PH candidates: No fee
• All Other Categories: Rs. 500
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund A/c No.-1, payable at Indore
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic credentials and interview performance. The steps are:

1. Application Screening: Submitted application forms with required documents are checked for eligibility.
2. Walk-in Interview (Offline): Eligible candidates appear before the Selection Board on 10 June 2026 from 10:00 AM onwards at ESIC Medical College, Indore.
3. Document Verification: Originals are verified before the interview.
4. Final Selection: Result is displayed on esic.gov.in. Offer of appointment is sent through email only.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

2. Fill the form in BLOCK letters with black/blue ink.
3. Scan the filled application along with the Demand Draft and all supporting documents (research papers, publications, certificates).

• Teach MBBS and PG students as per NMC curriculum in the assigned department
• Provide patient care in OPD, in-patient wards, and emergency services
• Supervise Senior Residents, Junior Residents, and interns in clinical duties
• Conduct academic activities including seminars, journal clubs, and case discussions
• Guide students in research projects, thesis work, and publications
• Maintain attendance through Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS)
• Follow NMC and ESIC clinical and academic protocols strictly
• Participate in hospital committees, audits, and quality improvement activities
