Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri has released a notification dated 16 April 2026 (No. CSMKVS/ACD/Notification/Contrac Lec./193/2026) inviting applications for Assistant Professor posts across seven disciplines. The posts are for College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, College of Food Technology, College of Agri-Business Management and Agriculture Polytechnic at CSMKVS Kashti. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

For Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Vegetable Science, Agricultural Economics, Statistics

• Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• OR Master's degree (M.Sc.) in the relevant discipline along with NET/SLET/SET prescribed by UGC/ICAR.

For Computer

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science, or Master's degree in Computer Science with NET/SLET/SET prescribed by UGC/ICAR.

For Electrical

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or M.E. / M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with NET/SLET/SET prescribed by UGC/ICAR.

Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for Master's programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. Candidates already working in any institute must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer.

Salary

• Consolidated fixed pay of Rs. 45,000 per month for all 7 posts.
• The appointment is purely temporary and contractual for a maximum of 11 months or till the post is filled on a regular basis (whichever is earlier).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely based on interview by the Selection Committee approved by the University.

1. Shortlisting: Based on academic record and research performance score (out of 50 marks) covering Graduation (5), Post-graduation (5), Ph.D. (10), NET/JRF/SET (7), Research Publications (10), Teaching/Research/Extension experience (10) and Awards (3).
2. Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed at their own cost.
3. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of interview, failing which candidature will be rejected.
