Who Can Apply?

For Super Specialist (Endocrinology)

• MBBS from a college recognised by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
• MCh / DM / DNB or equivalent in the concerned Super Specialty
• All qualifications must be registered with the Medical Council
• Senior Consultant level: Minimum 5 years' experience after Super Specialty qualification

For Specialist Posts

• MBBS + Post Graduate Degree / DNB / Diploma in the concerned specialty with TCMC registration
• For Casualty/ICU: PG in Anaesthesiology / General Medicine / Pulmonary Medicine / Emergency Medicine is acceptable
• Junior Specialist: 3 years' experience (degree holders) or 5 years (diploma holders)
• Senior Specialist: 5 years' experience (degree holders) or 7 years (diploma holders)

For Senior Resident

• MBBS + PG Degree / DNB / Diploma in the concerned specialty with TCMC registration
• For Super-Specialty departments: DM / DrNB is preferred over MD / DNB General Medicine
• Candidates who have already completed Senior Residency for 3 years in any Central Institution are not eligible

Age Limit

• Super Specialist / Specialist (Full or Part Time): Not exceeding 69 years as on the date of interview. Tenure beyond 70 years is not allowed.
• Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates is allowed as per Government rules.

Salary

• Full Time Super Specialist: Entry level Rs. 2,00,000 per month; Senior level Rs. 2,40,000 per month
• Part Time Super Specialist: Entry level Rs. 1,00,000 per month; Senior Consultant Rs. 1,50,000 per month (4 hours/day x 4 days/week). Rs. 20,000 extra for emergency visits if willing.
• Full Time Specialist: Rs. 1,38,108 per month (Junior, Level 11) or Rs. 1,60,752 per month (Senior, Level 12)
• Part Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000 per month + Rs. 15,000 emergency visit charges (if willing)
• Senior Resident (Pay Level 11): Approximately Rs. 1,38,108 per month for PG Degree holders. Rs. 1,350 deducted for Diploma holders and Rs. 2,250 if no PG qualification.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done on the same day as the walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Bring all original certificates and one set of photocopies on the interview date
2. Walk-in Interview: Based on qualification and experience

The interview will be held at the Conference Hall, ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam.

• Provide specialised medical care and consultation to ESIC beneficiaries in the assigned department
• Handle in-patients, OPD cases and emergency calls at the Model and Super Specialty Hospital
• Attend OPD and ward rounds during working hours (09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on weekdays, 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM on Saturdays)
• Respond to emergency calls and make hospital visits whenever required
• Maintain patient records, treatment notes and reports as per hospital protocols
• Participate in DNB training and academic activities of the hospital where applicable
• Follow ESIC headquarters guidelines and Medical Council professional standards at all times
