The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, has released a fresh advertisement for the engagement of Young Professionals, Consultants Grade-1, Consultants Grade-2 and Senior Consultants on a purely contractual basis. The engagement will be for a fixed period as per requirement or 2 years, whichever is less. This is a re-advertisement open to fresh applicants as well as those who applied earlier — earlier applicants must re-apply through the online link on the ESIC website.

Vacancy Breakdown

Total posts across four position levels:

• Young Professional: 10 posts (ICT-Application, ICT-Information Security, Medical, Medical Service, Finance, ESI Benefit, Planning & Development, Revenue, Legal, Medical Administration)
• Consultant Grade-1: 3 posts (ICT, Establishment/Administration, Actuarial)
• Consultant Grade-2: 2 posts (ICT-Network & Infrastructure, Medical Service)
• Senior Consultant: 2 posts (ICT-Management & Technology, Management Service Unit)

Category-wise reservation applies for SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC (27%) and EWS (10%) as per central government rules. PwBD reservation is also available under Category (a).

Who Can Apply?

Young Professional (Rs. 70,000/month)

• ICT-Application / ICT-Information Security: Bachelors or Post Graduate in Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering with certifications like PMP, CISSP, AWS, ITIL etc. 1 year relevant experience.
• Medical (Rate Contract): Bachelor degree in Computer Science. 1 year relevant experience.
• Medical Service / Medical Administration: Masters in Hospital Administration or Bachelor/Master's in IT (Data Analytics). 1 year relevant experience.
• Finance: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / CFA with 1 year relevant experience.
• ESI Benefit / P&D / Revenue: B.E./B.Tech (IT) or Masters in IT/Computer Application/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Financial Management/Data Science/Public Policy/Actuarial Science. 1 year relevant experience.
• Legal: LLM degree. 1 year relevant experience. PhD preferred.

Consultant Grade-1 (Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 1,45,000/month)

• ICT: Bachelors/PG in Computer Science/IT/Statistics/Mathematics. 3-8 years experience in HIS, ERP, Insurance domains.
• Establishment/Administration: Regular MBA in HR. 3-8 years experience in Govt./PSU/DOPT/UPSC.
• Actuarial: PG Diploma or Master's in Actuarial Science/Insurance. 3-8 years in actuarial/risk management at Central Govt./Banks/PSUs.

Consultant Grade-2 (Rs. 1,45,000 - Rs. 2,65,000/month)

• ICT-Network & Infrastructure: Bachelors/PG in Computer Science/IT with CCN, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, PMP certifications. 8-15 years experience.
• Medical Service: Masters in Hospital Administration. NABH/NABL assessor preferred. 8-15 years experience.

Senior Consultant (Rs. 2,65,000 - Rs. 3,30,000/month)

• ICT-Management & Technology: Bachelors/PG in CS/IT with MBA (Regular). 15+ years in e-Governance projects.
• Management Service Unit: MBA/MCA/M.Tech/CA/CS/ICWA. 15+ years in relevant fields, including rank of Executive Director (corporate) or Joint Secretary (Govt./PSU).

Note: Up to 3 years are counted for Ph.D. holders, provided no work experience was counted during those 3 years.

Age Limit

• Young Professional: Maximum 32 years
• Consultant Grade-1: Maximum 45 years
• Consultant Grade-2: Maximum 50 years
• Senior Consultant: Maximum 62 years
• Age is reckoned as on the closing date of online application (4 June 2026).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years; OBC - 3 years; PwBD UR - 10 years, OBC - 13 years, SC/ST - 15 years; Ex-Servicemen as per rules.

Salary

• Young Professional: Rs. 70,000 per month (consolidated)
• Consultant Grade-1: Rs. 80,000 - Rs. 1,45,000 per month
• Consultant Grade-2: Rs. 1,45,000 - Rs. 2,65,000 per month
• Senior Consultant: Rs. 2,65,000 - Rs. 3,30,000 per month
• The consolidated remuneration is inclusive of all applicable taxes. No other facility or allowance will be allowed.
• Performance-based annual enhancement up to 5% (significant performers) or 10% (exceptional performers) with DG, ESIC approval. Total enhancement cannot exceed 10% annually or 1.22 times the initial remuneration overall.
• Travel reimbursement: Hotel up to Rs. 4,500/day (Grade-2/Sr. Consultant), Air Economy/AC II tier rail allowed.

Selection Process

The selection follows GFR 2017 and the Manual for Procurement of Consultancy Services 2022:

1. Online Registration on Resource Pool Portal: Apply online through esic.gov.in. Candidates remain on a rolling-basis pool throughout the year.
2. Screening Committee (5-member): Shortlists at least 3 eligible candidates per requirement. Chaired by an external expert nominated by DG with Insurance Commissioner, Medical Commissioner and a second external expert as members.
3. Consultancy Evaluation & Selection Committee (5-member): Conducts final selection. Chaired by a retired Secretary-level officer with 2 external experts, Insurance Commissioner (Recruitment) and Medical Commissioner (Medical Administration) as members.
4. Police Verification: Mandatory for selected candidates. Negative verification leads to immediate termination.
5. Document Verification: Done at the time of interview.

Note: There is no written exam. Selection is interview and merit-based.

• Provide expert advisory and project execution support to ESIC divisions in IT, Finance, Medical, Legal, Actuarial or Management functions
• Analyse policy data, prepare MIS reports and recommend system improvements for the assigned domain
• Support implementation of e-Governance initiatives, data analytics dashboards and information security frameworks at ESIC
• Assist in framing rate contracts, monitoring drug procurement and tracking performance of pharmaceutical vendors (for Medical posts)
• Prepare actuarial valuations, financial reports and budget analyses to support ESIC scheme decisions
• Coordinate with field offices, hospitals and HQ branches to collate data, identify gaps and suggest service improvements
• Conduct quality assessments, NABH/NABL audits and medical service evaluations at ESIC hospitals (Medical Service posts)
• Deliver assignments within agreed timelines as per the Terms of Reference (ToR) signed with the engaging Division
