Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has issued Advt. No. 03/2026 for engagement of doctors on contractual basis at ESIC Hospital, Ezhukone, Kollam (Kerala). The hospital is conducting a single-day walk-in interview for both Full Time and Part Time Super Specialists and Specialists, plus 1-year contract Senior Residents. Both freshly qualified PG doctors and experienced specialists can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Super Specialist (Medical Oncology):

• Recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
• MCh / DM / DNB or equivalent in Medical Oncology

For Specialist (Full Time / Part Time):

• MBBS degree with TCMC registration
• PG Degree / DNB / Diploma in concerned speciality
• Experience: 3 years for degree holders or 5 years for diploma holders in respective speciality
• For ICU: PG degree or diploma in Anaesthesia / General Medicine / Pulmonology / Critical Care

For Senior Resident:

• MBBS degree with TCMC registration
• PG Degree / Diploma in concerned speciality
• Registration with Kerala State Medical Council
• Candidates who have already completed 3 years of regular Senior Residency are not eligible

Age Limit

• Super Specialist & Specialist: Not exceeding 69 years as on date of interview (tenure beyond 70 years not allowed)
• Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on date of interview
• Age relaxation for reserved (SC/ST/OBC) candidates as per rules

Salary

• Super Specialist (Full Time): Rs. 2,00,000 per month (consolidated, entry level)
• Super Specialist (Part Time): Rs. 1,00,000 per month for 16 hours/week + Rs. 20,000 emergency visiting charges (if willing) + Rs. 1,200 per additional hour beyond 16 hrs
• Specialist (Full Time): Rs. 1,40,817 per month (approximate)
• Specialist (Part Time): Rs. 60,000 per month for 16 hours/week + Rs. 15,000 emergency charges (if willing) + Rs. 800 per additional hour beyond 16 hrs
• Senior Resident (PG Degree): Rs. 1,40,817 per month (Pay Level 11 as per 7th CPC)
• Senior Resident (Diploma): Rs. 1,350 deducted from above amount
• Remuneration is revisable as per ESIC Headquarters instructions

Application Fee

• General / OBC: Rs. 250 (by Demand Draft in favour of 'ESIC Fund A/c No.1' payable at SBI Keralapuram Branch)
• SC / ST: Rs. 50
• Female candidates / PWD: No fee
• Fee once paid will not be refunded

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through walk-in interview only:

1. Document Verification: Bring all original documents and one self-attested copy of each
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted on the same day at ESIC Hospital, Ezhukone

No TA/DA will be admissible for the walk-in interview. Private practice will not be allowed after selection.

3. Prepare a Demand Draft for Rs. 250 (General/OBC) or Rs. 50 (SC/ST) in favour of 'ESIC Fund A/c No.1' at SBI Keralapuram. Female and PWD candidates are exempt from fee.
4. Reach the venue with all original certificates and self-attested copies on 15 May 2026 between 9.00 AM and 10.00 AM for registration.

6. Selected candidates must submit a security deposit of Rs. 30,000 (refundable after contract completion) and execute an agreement on Rs. 200 stamp paper.

• Provide specialist medical care to ESIC beneficiaries in the assigned department
• Handle outpatient consultations, ward rounds, and admitted patient care
• Attend emergency calls 24x7 as required and visit the hospital when called
• Maintain accurate medical records, prescriptions, and case sheets as per ESIC norms
• Be professionally responsible for all cases under your supervision in your speciality
• Follow ESIC clinical protocols, infection control standards, and medico-legal procedures
• Maintain a valid professional indemnity insurance policy as required by ESIC
• Work assigned hours: 9 AM to 4 PM weekdays and 9 AM to 1 PM Saturdays (Full Time), or 4 hours x 4 days per week (Part Time)
