Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital (LBSH) under the Government of NCT of Delhi has released a notice for 5 Senior Resident posts on ad-hoc basis for a period of 44 days, extendable up to 03 years subject to satisfactory performance. Selection is through walk-in interview only - no written exam. The posts are spread across the Anesthesia and Obstetrics & Gynaecology departments.

Vacancy Breakdown by Department

• Anesthesia: 3 posts (OBC-01, SC-01, ST-01)
• Obs & Gynae: 2 posts (ST-01, UR-01)

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree / DNB / Diploma or Post-Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) in the concerned specialty from an NMC/MCI recognised University or Institute.
• DMC Registration: You must possess DMC registration for the concerned specialty / super specialty.
• Result Declared: The tenure of your PG Degree, DNB, Diploma or Post-Doctoral Degree must be completed and the result must be declared before the date of interview.
• Backup Eligibility: If candidates with MBBS + PG/DNB/Diploma are not available, candidates with MBBS plus 2 years of experience in the same specialty will be considered.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of advertisement
• Age Relaxation: 03 years for OBC candidates (with valid NCL certificate) and 05 years for SC/ST candidates
• Note: OBC certificate (Delhi) issued from Govt. NCT of Delhi only will be considered

Salary

• Pay: Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 per month under 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 11
• Plus other admissible allowances per month

Application Fee

• No fee for appearing in the interview
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for the interview

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is done in the following stages:

1. Walk-in Interview: Mode of selection is through interview only. Rank list will be prepared and will be valid for one month from the date of result.
2. Document Verification: All original certificates and self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of interview.
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must be declared medically fit by the Staff Physician at LBSH before joining.

The date of interview will be kept open if no suitable candidate appears on 12-05-2026 (for two weeks). A daily selection list will be prepared subject to availability of suitable / eligible candidates.

• Provide patient care and clinical services in the Anesthesia or Obstetrics & Gynaecology department as assigned
• Handle ward duties, OPD, and operation theatre work under supervision of consultants
• Manage emergency cases and respond to on-call duties as per duty roster
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and discharge summaries
• Assist senior consultants during surgeries, deliveries, and critical procedures
• Participate in academic activities, case presentations, and clinical rounds
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control standards, and GoI residency scheme rules
