DFCCIL Retired Employees Re-employment 2026 — 53 Vacancies

DFCCIL is hiring 53 retired Indian Railways employees for re-employment at its Mumbai Unit, across the OP&BD, Mechanical and Electrical departments. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) Retired Employees Re-employment 2026 - 53 Posts

DFCCIL, a Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has released Advertisement No. 21/2026 to fill 53 posts through re-employment of retired Indian Railways employees at its Mumbai Unit. The vacancies span three departments — OP&BD (Station Master), Mechanical (C&W Cadre) and Electrical (Tower Wagon Driver). No written exam is required — eligible retired employees are selected directly through a walk-in interview to form a re-employment panel. This is a good opportunity for retired railway staff in good health with relevant departmental experience.

The re-employment is initially for one year and can be extended based on your performance and DFCCIL's requirements, though it can also be ended by either side on one month's notice. Re-employed staff will also get 2 days of leave for every completed month of the contract, though this leave cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.

• Mechanical (C&W Cadre): 29 posts across Mumbai, JNPT, NILN and SAHN locations
• Electrical (Tower Wagon Driver): 14 posts
• OP&BD (Station Master): 10 posts

Who Can Apply?

For OP&BD Department (10 posts):

• You must be a retired Indian Railways employee with experience in the Operation Department as Station Master, retired from CDA Scale Level 06 to Level 07 (Level 08 & 09 if granted on pay upgradation)

For Mechanical Department (29 posts):

• You must be a retired Indian Railways employee with experience in the open line C&W Cadre, retired from CDA Scale Level 02 to Level 10 (Level 08 & 09 if granted on pay upgradation)

For Electrical Department (14 posts):

• You must be a retired Indian Railways employee with experience working as a Tower Wagon Driver, retired from CDA Scale Level 02 to Level 06 (Non-Supervisory)

Note: Only the substantive/regular pay level held at the time of retirement will be considered. MACP level/grade pay held at retirement will not be considered. Retired SSE and similar staff who retired from Level-08 or Level-09 solely due to post upgradation will be treated as equivalent to substantive Level-07 for this re-employment.

Age Limit

• You can be re-employed up to a maximum age of 65 years.
• On the date of the walk-in interview, your age should not exceed 64 years — you must have at least one year of residual age left to reach 65.
• Preference will be given to retired employees in good health.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done through the following process:

1. Walk-in Interview: Eligible retired employees are called for interview directly, based on their department's eligibility criteria. No written exam is conducted.
2. Document Verification: You must bring your original Service Certificate/PPO and other documents for verification. Candidates who do not meet the criteria will not be interviewed.
3. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must clear a medical check-up and will be re-employed only if found medically fit.

How to Apply

1. Fill in the prescribed Application Form for Retired Employees attached with the notification.
2. Attach self-attested photocopies of your PPO (as per 7th CPC), Service Certificate, Last Pay Slip, Aadhaar Card, cancelled cheque/bank passbook copy and two photographs.
3. Report in person at the DFCCIL Mumbai Unit office (7th Floor, Central Railway New Admin Building, D N Road, Mumbai 400001) on 17 July 2026 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
4. Carry your original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
