RCF Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), a Government of India Navratna company, is taking apprentices for practical training at its Trombay unit in Mumbai and Thal unit in Raigad. The intake brings graduate, technician and trade apprentices into the same training cycle under the Apprentices Act. This is training, not an offer of regular employment with RCF after completion.

The programme is designed around RCF's fertilizer and industrial-chemical operations. Your work setting will depend on the discipline you choose: office functions support accounts, secretarial work and recruitment, while technical disciplines are placed closer to engineering, plant, laboratory, electrical and maintenance activity. You must choose either Trombay or Thal in the form, and that choice cannot be changed later.

Posts and Disciplines

• Graduate apprentices: Accounts Executive, Secretarial Assistant and Recruitment Executive (HR) support the company's finance, office administration and people processes.
• Technician apprentices: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical diploma streams connect classroom learning with the matching plant or support function.
• Chemical-plant trades: Attendant Operator, Instrument Mechanic and Laboratory Assistant roles focus on production support, instruments, samples and routine plant checks.
• Utility and support trades: Boiler Attendant, Electrician, Horticulture Assistant and Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) train in their named operational areas.

Post-wise Duties

Graduate Apprentices

You will learn the workflow of your assigned office team, maintain accurate business records, use routine computer systems and support day-to-day coordination under supervision.

Technician Apprentices

You will assist with discipline-specific technical work, observe safe operating practices, read basic technical information and keep training records for your assigned unit.

Trade Apprentices

You will receive hands-on exposure in the relevant plant, laboratory, electrical, boiler, horticulture or pathology area. Your focus will be safe practical learning, correct use of tools and steady skill development.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training period: The discipline determines whether training runs for 12, 15 or 24 months.
• Posting choice: Your selected unit is non-transferable throughout the apprenticeship.
• Attendance: Graduate apprentices normally train from 9 am to 6 pm; technician and trade apprentices normally train from 8 am to 5 pm. Both IN and OUT attendance punches are needed.
• Facilities: RCF provides prescribed canteen meals, trainee-only OPD medical support, uniforms and personal protective equipment under company policy.
• Travel: The company does not provide transport or reimburse travel to the training location.
• Employment claim: Completing this apprenticeship does not create a right to a regular RCF job.

Application Submission Notes

Trade-apprentice applicants need registration on the NAPS apprenticeship portal, while graduate and technician applicants need student registration on the NATS portal. Keep those details ready before using RCF's online recruitment form.

The form asks you to select one training unit and upload a recent colour photograph and signature. Save the generated application after submission and keep its printout for document checking; RCF does not ask you to post a hard copy.
