Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) wants to fill 1 post of AGM/JGM (Operations & Business Development) at its Ahmedabad office, on deputation basis. DFCCIL AGM/JGM (OP&BD) Recruitment 2026 - Ahmedabad

DFCCIL is the Miniratna Central Public Sector Undertaking that builds and operates India's dedicated freight rail corridors under the Ministry of Railways. It has issued Vacancy Notice No. 34/2026 for a senior operations and business development role at its Ahmedabad unit, part of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). This is a deputation posting for 3 years, extendable up to 5 years, subject to exemption by the Department of Public Enterprises from the rule of immediate absorption. Only serving Traffic Department officers of Indian Railways with freight and commercial operating experience are eligible — this role is not open to candidates outside government or PSU service.

The selected officer will run day-to-day train operations on the corridor, coordinate with Indian Railways zones, and grow freight business along the Ahmedabad section of the WDFC.

Who Can Apply?

For AGM (Level-13A / Selection Grade):

• Central/State Government officers working in an analogous grade (Level-13A) in the relevant discipline, or
• Officers in Selection Grade (Level-13) with a minimum of 12 years in Group A in the relevant discipline, or
• Officers in the pay scale Rs. 90,000-2,40,000 (IDA) (E6) with 4 years of service in the grade

For JGM (Level-13 / JAG):

• Central/State Government officers working in an analogous substantive grade (Level-13) in the relevant discipline, or
• Officers in Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) (Level-12) with 8 to 12 years of service in Group A in the relevant discipline, or
• PSU employees working in an analogous grade in the relevant discipline, or
• Officers in the pay scale Rs. 80,000-2,20,000 (IDA) (E5) with 4 years of service in the grade

Whichever grade you apply for, you must have working experience in Operating and Commercial (freight business) roles in the Traffic Department of Indian Railways.

Age Limit

• You should be not more than 55 years old as on the closing date of the vacancy notice.
• The cut-off date for age and eligibility is reckoned as on the closing date of the vacancy notice — not the date you apply.

Salary

• You will continue to draw your parent-cadre pay plus deputation allowance — DFCCIL does not pay a fixed, separate salary scale for this post.
• All other perks and allowances will apply as per DFCCIL policy.

Selection Process

DFCCIL will select the officer through:

1. Scrutiny of Application: Your application, NOC, APAR ratings for the last five years, and vigilance/D&AR clearance will be checked by DFCCIL.
2. Shortlisting and Interview by DFCCIL Management based on your service record, experience, and suitability for the role.

Important Dates

• Plan and monitor train operations across the dedicated freight corridor
• Oversee the functioning of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) and stations on the corridor
• Coordinate with adjoining railway zones and divisions for daily operations and crew management
• Resolve interchange issues and manage the corridor as officer in-charge of operations
• Drive marketing and development of new freight traffic and rail-based logistics parks
• Coordinate with central and state ministries on the Delhi-Mumbai and Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Development Corporation projects
• Conduct market research and develop public-private partnership frameworks for new sidings
• Handle traffic facility planning, manpower planning, and terminal/GCT management for the corridor
