Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) JGM (IT) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

DFCCIL, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has issued Vacancy Notice No. 35/2026 (dated 13 August 2026) to fill 1 post of Joint General Manager (IT) at its Corporate Office in Noida. This is a deputation posting for 3 years, extendable up to 5 years (subject to DPE exemption from the immediate absorption rule), and is open only to eligible officers from Central/State Government departments and PSUs — not to fresh graduates or the general public. There is no written exam — DFCCIL screens applications forwarded through the parent department.

DFCCIL builds and operates dedicated high-speed, high-capacity freight corridors that run alongside the Indian Railways network, moving goods trains faster while easing congestion on regular passenger lines. As JGM (IT), you would lead the organisation's core technology functions — network infrastructure, enterprise applications, cloud hosting and IT procurement — working out of the Corporate Office IT vertical and coordinating directly with the Ministry of Railways.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, OR MCA (or equivalent) from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience: At least 12 years of post-qualification executive experience in IT, Telecom, Electronics, Computer or Information Systems roles in a Central/State Government or PSU organisation.
• Eligible Grade: Officers currently in an analogous Level-13 grade, or in Junior Administrative Grade (Level-12) with 8-12 years' Group A service in the relevant discipline, or PSU employees in an equivalent grade (E5 / Rs. 80,000-2,20,000 IDA scale) with 4 years' service in that grade.
• Domain Expertise: You should have proven experience in one or more core IT areas — Network (LAN/WAN) design and management, Application Development, or Cloud/Hybrid Hosting management.
• Familiarity: Hands-on experience with public procurement processes, including tenders and transactions on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, will count in your favour.
• Preferred: A Master's degree or certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master, CISA or ISO 27001. Working knowledge of SAP modules, cyber security exposure and experience managing medium-to-large IT projects will also be valued.
• Mode: This is a deputation post — you must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your parent department.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 55 years old, reckoned as on the closing date of the vacancy notice.

Salary

• Selected candidates will draw their parent pay (Level-13, Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 as per 7th CPC) plus deputation allowance.
• You will also get other perks and allowances as applicable under DFCCIL policy.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

DFCCIL will select the JGM (IT) through the following steps:

1. Application Screening: DFCCIL reviews applications forwarded through proper channel by your parent department, along with your NOC and APAR ratings.
2. Document Verification: Your attested APAR ratings for the last five years and Vigilance/D&AR clearance are checked for eligibility.
3. Interview/Interaction: Shortlisted officers may be called for an interview before final selection.

• Manage and optimize DFCCIL's Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN) across all sites for high availability, performance and security
• Oversee the full lifecycle of application development, integration and enhancement of existing platforms, including the Enterprise ERP (SAP)
• Run day-to-day operations of the on-premise Data Centre and Cloud Hosting services, including capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, the Ministry of Railways and vendors on IT projects
• Ensure compliance with Government IT guidelines and data security standards
• Assist in planning, specification and execution of IT procurement, including GeM tenders and contract management
• Supervise functional teams responsible for network, application, hosting and first-level security operations
