Who Can Apply?

Editorial Assistant / ANE (Konkani)

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university + Degree/Diploma in Journalism from a recognized university + Minimum 3 years experience in news broadcasting / news organization
• Desirable: Knowledge of national/international affairs, Matriculate in Konkani language

News Reader (Konkani)

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university + Proficiency in Konkani knowledge + Camera-friendly face with a voice of very good quality suited to broadcasting + Correct pronunciation, accent and modulation + Knowledge of current Indian and foreign affairs + Acquaintance with names of important personalities in the region/India and abroad
• Preferable: Journalism background, professional background in academic or related areas, experience with Television/Radio Media
• Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi and English, ability to interview people and report events from the sports field

CG Operator (Devnagari-Konkani Typing)

• Essential: 10+2 from a recognized board + Certificate in computer application
• Desirable: One year experience in Devnagari Konkani typing

Website Assistant

• Essential: Degree from a recognized university + Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication from a recognized university
• Desirable: Exposure to audio visual medium, new media operations and proven aptitude in the field

Age Limit

• Editorial Assistant (Konkani): 25 to 50 years
• News Reader (Konkani): 25 to 50 years
• CG Operator: 21 to 50 years
• Website Assistant: 21 to 50 years

Salary

These are assignment-based positions. You get paid per shift/assignment as per the prevailing Prasar Bharati fee structure:

• Editorial Assistant: Approx. Rs. 2,400 per shift
• News Reader: Approx. Rs. 1,650 to Rs. 2,400 per shift (depending on experience and bulletin type)
• CG Operator: Approx. Rs. 1,125 per shift
• Website Assistant: Approx. Rs. 3,000 per assignment

Note: Empanelled casual assignees can get a maximum of 7 assignments per month as per Prasar Bharati norms. No TA/DA is paid for interview or tests.

Application Fee

• No application fee is required for any category.

Selection Process

1. Screening of Applications — Your bio-data and documents will be checked for eligibility
2. Interview / Test — Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or skill test (voice test for News Reader, typing test for CG Operator, etc.)
3. Final Selection — The Selection Committee's decision will be final and no representation will be entertained
